Wolves v Reading Championship, 13th March 7.45pm

Wolves are starting to stutter badly now with just the one win in their last five league games. They are only holding a three point advantage at the top now over Cardiff so the pressure is mounting on them. They get a chance to ease some of that pressure as they take on a Reading side on Tuesday night who are out of winning form.

Wolves v Reading Betting Odds*

Wolves 2/5, Draw 15/4, Reading 9/1* (Betting Odds taken at 8:01 p.m. on March 12th, 2018)

Wolves News and Form

Can Wolves handle the pressure and steady what is looking like a rocky ship at the moment? They are just W1 D2 L2 in their last five games, but the two losses in that sequence did happen out on the road and they are unbeaten in three now at Molineux (W2 D1) since a loss against Notts Forest back in January. Overall this season Wolves are W12 D3 L2 for the term and there have been 35 goals form them in their 17 home games and an average of just over two per game. They have been great at the back having conceded just 0.9 goals per game at Molineux. Wolves to win to nil at bet365 is at 21/20 odds with bet365. The league leaders do have a clean sheet in almost half of their home games this season and they have shipped 73% of their home goals in the second half of matches. They have opened the scoring in all but three home fixtures so far this term. This may end up being a test of their character more than anything.

Reading News and Form

The Royals are out of winning touch not having collected a league win since January 20th (D4 L3). Their last four league games were all at home so it’s been a while since they have been out on the road. They have won just one of their last seven away games in the Championship (D2 L4) so they don’t look a major threat. They have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last nine games now home and away and have shipped one each of their last three on the road. They have also scored in each of their last three away games though and they have averaged 1.25 goals per game on the road so far, which is solid enough. They just have not been great at the back, having kept a clean sheet in just 18% of their away games. Of the goals that they have scored away from home so far 81% of them have been after the half time break. Reading have scored in 71% of their away matches.

Wolves v Reading Head to Head

Wolves have won their last two games at home against Reading with a clean sheet and earlier this season, they won 2-0 at the Madejski over the Royals as well. Wolves have taken a clean sheet in four of their last five games against Reading (W3 D1 L1) so they do have the head to head form going.

Who will win – Wolves v Reading Predictions

Wolves really have to step up here and they should have enough on home soil against a Reading side who look pretty tame. Look for the home side to get the win to nil as well.
