Tottenham v Bournemouth Premier League, 14th October 3.00pm
Spurs kept up their good momentum just before the international break with a win over Huddersfield out on the road. Spurs, largely thanks to Harry Kane have stepped up their goal output in the Premier League lately and they shouldn’t have too many problems against a struggling Bournemouth you would think. The Cherries have just four points on the board for the season and they have conceded heavily against Spurs in their previous games against them in the top flight. Spurs are 2/11 odds-on at bet365 to take the win at Wembley, with the draw at 6/1 and Bournemouth are out at 12/1.
Tottenham v Bournemouth Betting Tips
Tottenham have started to go up through the gears after a sticky start to the season in which they won just the one game. But they have collected ten points from the last twelve available to them in a W3 D1 record and each of those three wins were out on the road. Spurs have taken three clean sheets in their last four games now and Tottenham to win to nil at bet365 brings in a nice price of 20/21. There should be plenty of room in this for Spurs to put a comfortable win on the board really and there is an appeal on a Tottenham -2 Handicap for the match at a price of 5/4 and that is because they have scored freely against Bournemouth in the Premier League, having scored twelve in their previous four against them.
Last Four Premier League Head to Head
Spurs 4 – 0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth 0 – 0 Tottenham
Tottenham 3- 0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth 1 – 5 Tottenham
So Spurs have produced against the Cherries before and in the bet365 correct score market, there are going to be really appealing big-priced options. A Spurs 3-0 correct score is a 7/1 punt while a 4-0 for them is a 10/1 shot. It may just be worth noting that they face Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek so if they get up in this game, they may dial it back a bit to save themselves for that. When it comes to Tottenham goals there is only one man worth mentioning and that, of course, is Harry Kane who is the 9/5 bet356 first goalscorer outright favourite. He has netted a brace in three of his last four Premier League games. He has six in three games against Bournemouth and Kane is 6/5 to score two or more goals in the game. Given the history between these two clubs and their respective current form, this should be easy for Tottenham even though they are still looking for their first home win of the season.
Current League Form (most recent last)
It has been a really difficult season for Bournemouth who have not been able to tighten things up at the back enough, nor find an attacking punch to get returns. They are currently second from bottom in the league and after losing their first four games of the season, they have collected four in their last three outings, courtesy of a home win over Everton and a draw on home soil with Leicester. However, they have three defeats from three games out on the road this season and have scored just the one away goal. It is a little hard to see them having enough punch going forward to hurt Spurs. Joshua King is a 14/1 anytime goalscorer option for them but is a doubt for the game and Jermain Defoe is at 12/1.
With Callum Wilson also missing through injury (but close to a return) the Cherries are struggling badly going forward. From their four previous Premier League games against Spurs in the Premier League, Bournemouth have not yet scored a goal against the Lilywhites. Both teams not to score at bet365 fetches a price of 4/5. Bournemouth have lost six of their eight games (D2) away at top-seven teams in the Premier League since the start of last season. In each of those six defeats in that sequence, they conceded at least three goals as well. Really the only thing that may work in their favour in this one is if Spurs do indeed hold back in the game a bit because of their trip to the Bernabeu three days later.
Who will win – Tottenham v Bournemouth Predictions
Spurs to win: Bournemouth are not carrying the form to challenge in this one and Spurs can enjoy a comfortable home victory in this one. They are going well up front and a Tottenham 3-0 correct score should have some appeal after the number of goals that Spurs have put past the Cherries recently.
