South Korea Women News and Form

South Korea have not had much of a look in so far in the tournament. They opened with a 4-0 reverse against host nation France and then were taken down 2-0 by Nigeria. So they are likely to struggle in this final game against Norway, who have something to play for. South Korea are on a three-match losing streak at the moment with no goals scored. They have lost four of their last five (D1) since taking a win over New Zealand at this year’s Cup of Nations.

Taking a look back at their record at the Women’s World Cup it isn’t good. They have lost seven of their last nine played, scoring just the one goal in each of those defeats. South Korea are W1 D1 L7 in their last nine World Cup fixtures. They did make it past the group stage in the 2015 edition of the World Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over Spain in their final group stage match. They don’t look as if they can do the same to Norway.

Norway Women News and Form

Norway weathered a heavy early storm against France in their second group match but came back strongly in the second half. After their equaliser, a gifted own goal from France, things looked even between the two before a controversial penalty was awarded to the French. That sunk the Norwegians but they were matching the hosts in that second half. They are a very solid, strong team and can push on.

Norway are W3 L2 in their last five games now and in each of those wins, they scored at least three goals. Their form in the World Cup is W3 D1 L2 over the last two editions. They have a really good young midfield and attack that should carry them through this challenge. There have been moments of quality from them at this tournament and will look to come out strongly, as they did in their opening win over Nigeria.

South Korea Women v Norway Women Tips & Odds

Who will win – South Korea Women v Norway Women Predictions

We saw enough strengths from Norway in their game against France to suggest that they get the win in this one. They will know that realistically they just have to avoid defeat in order to make it to the top two. But they can go better and win.

Nigeria Women v South Korea Women Women’s World Cup 2019 Preview, 12th June 2.00pm

Nigeria had a tough time of things in their opening fixture of the Women’s World Cup 2019. They were down and out of the game in the first half of their game against Norway. South Korea had a chastening introduction into the tournament as well as they were thumped heavily by hosts France. Read our Nigeria Women v South Korea Women betting tips for more.

Nigeria Women News and Form

There was a 3-0 defeat dished out to Nigeria against Norway in their opening World cup. This will represent their best chance of picking up any points in this group stage. The same can be said of South Korea as well of course. Nigeria are now W2 L4 in their last six fixtures, losing their last two. The two wins that they did record in that sequence happened against Slovakia and Thailand. That was part of their Cyprus Women’s Cup tournament back in March, losing the other two games at the event. In their last six games, Nigeria have earned just one clean sheet. They are the highest ranked of the CAF representatives taking part at the tournament.

South Korea Women News and Form

South Korea had a tough night in Paris against hosts France in the opening game of the tournament. They were just on the back foot from the very start of the affair and could barely get a decent kick of the ball. They ended up losing that fixture 4-0. That is a four-match winless streak of form that the South Korea team are on at the moment now, losing three of those. Back in the FFA Cup of Nation they did take clean sheets wins over Argentina and New Zealand, both of which are in this tournament. So that could at least give them believe that they can target a good three points in this one.

Nigeria Women v South Korea Women Tips & Odds

South Korea to win to nil at 5/2
Under 2.5 goals at 19/20

Who will win – Nigeria Women v South Korea Women Predictions

South Korea looks the better of the two sides here, despite their opening result. The fact that they got a couple of notable wins earlier this calendar year against stronger opposition in the Cyprus Cup does indicate that they could be the ones who are more likely to collect the victory. South Korea to win.
