The Foxes have won three of their last four in the top flight and they will start the weekend in seventh place. A bit more strong momentum could see them push towards Europe next season. Southampton earned a great point for themselves at Chelsea to start the new year. But the Saints remain lodged in the bottom three. Read our Leicester v Southampton betting tips for more.

The Foxes suffered a defeat out at Burnley on the weekend to leave them with back to back league losses. So it’s not quite happening for them at the moment. They could heap some more relegation pressure on Southampton in midweek though. The Saints blew a 2-0 lead against Chelsea on the weekend to still end up losing and are now five points from safety.
Leicester 5/4, Southampton 11/5, Draw 23/10* (Betting Odds taken at 10:12 p.m. on April 15th, 2018)
Leicester have lost back to back league games which was after winning back to back games which was after drawing back to back games. So they are W2 D2 L2 in their last six. They have failed to win any of their last four at home (D3 L1) so are due for a win at the King Power. The Foxes are W6 D5 L5 for the season at home in the Premier League and they are on a seven-match scoring streak there so should be able to come up with something. They have netted in each of their last ten games home and away combined. Both teams to score with Paddy Power is at 4/5 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 10:12 p.m. on April 15th, 2018) and that’s because Leicester aren’t particularly tight at the back. They have conceded in each of their last four on home soil so will be a little vulnerable there. The Foxes have come up with 22 goals in their 16 home games this season and only 44% of their home fixtures have managed to get above 2.5 goals. Jamie Vardy is on a four-match scoring streak in the Premier League and is the 7/2 first goalscorer favourite* (Betting Odds taken at 10:12 p.m. on April 15th, 2018) with Paddy Power.
That will have been a rough defeat for Southampton on the weekend, losing a 2-0 lead to come away empty-handed against Chelsea. This is now a game which they can’t afford to lose. They have lost their last four league games on the bounce and they are winless in seven (D2 L5). It has been a poor defensive sequence with them having conceded exactly three goals in each of their last four games, but they have shown a bit of fight with back to back 3-2 losses against Arsenal and then Chelsea. They badly need something out of this but are on a three-match losing streak away from St Mary’s and have won just twice not their travels all season (D6 L8). So it’s poor from them and they have averaged lees than a goal per game away from home so far, conceded at 1.8 on average per game. They have conceded in each of their last six away from St Marys and have in total, managed a clean sheet in just 19% of their road games. At this stage, they just have to have a go and throw everything at their remaining games. There really isn’t the option anymore of them being conservative. In the Paddy Power correct score market the shortest priced option is the 1-1 draw at 11/2 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 10:12 p.m. on April 15th, 2018).
Leicester were big 4-1 winners when they visited St Marys earlier this season. In the previous seven Premier League meetings the Foxes are W3 D2 L2 against the Saints. Last season’s meeting at the King Power ended in a 0-0 draw and the Foxes are unbeaten in their last four home games against Southampton. Leicester have not conceded in their last three at home against the Saints.
Leicester have a good chance to break out of their funk and get a home win here. The Saints will have more wind knocked out of them on the weekend. The Foxes can pounce and collect the three points at the King Power.

While the Foxes are enjoying their Champions League adventures immensely, they have yet to find any consistency in the Premier League. Just when it looked as if they might be turning the corner and ready to put together a stretch of form, they were smashed apart by Manchester United last weekend. They get a tough game on Sunday as they play host to Southampton who have own their last two Premier League games. The Saints had to go into European action in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night though and the Foxes will be hoping to take advantage of a little fatigue perhaps. Leicester are 11/10 for the win, with the draw at 23/10 and Southampton at 5/2.
It is always worth taking some accumulator insurance wherever you can get it and online betting site Stan James offer some. It certainly hasn’t been plain sailing for the Foxes in their Premier League title defence. Far from it. They have yet to string together back to back wins in a W2 D1 L3 record. Their miseries though have all been out on the road, having lost all three of their games away from the King Power in the top flight. At home it is a more positive picture with a W2 D1 record under their belt. The draw there was against Arsenal as well. So Southampton are next up for the Foxes who have lost just one of their previous 10 home games in the Premier League against Southampton. Of those ten, the Foxes have won seven of them.
Their seven home Premier League wins against the Saints is their most against an opponent in the competition. So this looks as if they have a good chance of bouncing back from that 4-1 hammering they suffered at Old Trafford last weekend. Leicester’s three defeats this season in six games, matches the tally of losses that they suffered in their previous 42 games in the top flight. Leicester were in Champions League action in the week, taking a 1-0 home win over FC Porto thanks to a goal from Islam Slimani, who looks to be a great capture. He and Jamie Vardy are 7/5 options in the anytime goalscorer market for this one. Over 2.5 goals will return you a price of 10/11.
Both teams to score in this fixture will have some appeal at a price of 3/4 with online betting site Stan James. Southampton have won their last two Premier League outings, both with clean sheets in having taken down Swansea and West Ham. They have lost two of their three away games this season though, but at West Ham last weekend, they were fantastic and their flying full backs had a huge part to play in their 3-0 success. So the Saints maybe are just getting up a head of steam here and they haven’t conceded a Premier League goal in three hours now. They are a quote of 11/4 to take a clean sheet in this one.
Charlie Austin has scored in his last two Premier League appearances and he is running at a quote of 2/1 in the anytime goalscorer market. The Saints have actually only won one of their seven league trips to the King Power Stadium, claiming a 2-1 victory there in December 2007. Of Premier League visits there, they have posted a D1 L2 record there. They have failed to score in their last two visits to the King Power but look sharp enough at the moment to make a breakthrough, as long as they can pick themselves up from their UEFA Europa League efforts on Thursday night.
This should be a pretty good game. The Foxes are in decent home form against the Saints and we would back that to continue. Leicester seem to be a different beast at home this season than they are out on the road and with Southampton having gone through a game on Tuesday night, the Foxes should be the sharper of the two. Look for both teams to get on the scoresheet but for a home win.

Jamie Vardy struck twice against Southampton earlier in the season as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw at St Mary’s. It is the return fixture for the Foxes on Sunday as Claudio Ranieri’s men look to keep up their title challenge. They will have a bit of an advantage on Sunday, because their nearest challengers Spurs will be in action on Saturday night in a tough game at Anfield against Liverpool.
So it is conceivable that Leicester could be a massive eight points clear at the top of the table after the weekend if they can bank another home win. They have been in great home form, having won four of their last five on home soil (D1) and they have taken clean sheets in six of their last seven at the King Power as well in the top flight. Will Southampton be the next team to fall there when the two meet on Sunday?

The games are getting ticked off now and just seven more remain for Leicester to hang in there and claim the Premier League title. They start the weekend with a five point lead over second placed Spurs and the Foxes just have to keep plugging away. Southampton will probably put up a good show against them, because the Saints have only lost two of their last eleven Premier league matches so this won’t be the easiest of games for the Foxes. Leicester are 23/20 for the win, with the draw at 23/10 and Southampton at 12/5.

Southampton have won three of their last five away games in the league
Southampton have lost only two of their last ten league matches
Leicester’s last four league wins have been by a 1-0 scoreline
The Foxes have won seven of their last nine Premier League matches (D1 L1)
This looks as if twould be quite an evenly matched game. The Foxes are still marching on and they are getting the results still. They have produced three 1-0 victories on the bounce now and indeed, their last four victories in the top flight have all come by that margin. In the Correct Score market for sunday’s game against Southampton, you can back a Leicester 1-0 Correct Score at a price of 6/1 with online betting site Bet365. It has to look something of a reasonable proposition. Leicester’s defence has been great and they have taken nine clean sheets in their last thirteen Premier League matches. The Foxes are a price of 9/4 to win this one to nil and they can be backed at a price of 6/4 to get out of the game with a clean sheet, regardless of the outcome. They have six clean sheets in their last seven at the King Power.
They have been finding a way to get things done at the other end of the pitch. Riyad Mahrez has two goals in his last three league games and is trading at a price of 7/4 in the anytime goalscorer market, with Jamie Vardy, who had a great international break with England, trading as 6/5 outright favourite to net in the game. Vardy netted a brace in their 2-2 draw at St Mary’s earlier in the league season. Leicester have won three of their last four home games against Southampton and three of those last four between them at Leicester have produced over 2.5 goals which is a price of 5/4 because it doesn’t look too likely to happen again, with the result that Leicester have been producing. Under the goal line is an 8/13 quote at Bet365.
Southampton have only lost just two of their last eleven Premier League games, so are going along well and have gotten themselves in the hunt for a UEFA Europa League place next season as well. The Saints have won three of their last five away games in the top flight (D1 L1) and they may very well test the Foxes here. They have gone without a clean sheet in their last five Premier League matches though which should offer the Foxes a sniff or two of goal. The Saints have scored in all but two of their last eleven matches and Graziano Pelle has come to life with three in his last two and he is trading at a price of 9/4 in the anytime goalscorer market.
Southampton’s away form have improved lately and they will give Leicester a tough afternoon. Leicester have been putting wins on the board by the skin of their teeth lately and this should be a low scoring game against the King Power. Look for a draw though, because the Saints may just handle the situation.

For a team that were looking doomed to the Championship, you couldn’t have asked for much more for a survival fight than what Leicester have produced. The Foxes have produced five wins in their last six played and they start the weekend still in a precarious spot, just one point above the drop zone. Southampton have fallen out of form, so the Foxes may be able to grab more survival points. Leicester are 6/4 for the win, with the draw at 12/5, and Southampton priced at 15/8

Leicester’s form of five wins in their last six played in the Premier League, is as many victories as they had collected in their previous 39 PL matches. That’s how big their turnaround has been for them, and their only loss in that sequence was against the Champions Chelsea. That home loss against the Blues is Leicester’s only loss in their last five at the King Power Stadium in the top flight (W3 D1 L1) and three of those five have come with clean sheets. The Foxes have kept three clean sheets in their last four PL games, the same number that they kept in their previous 19 in the competition.
However, they have conceded exactly two goals in each of their last three home games against the Saints. Leicester have now scored in each of their last seven Premier League matches, so clearly have thing lacking along and it could be worth looking over 2.5 goals. Leonardo Ulloa has scored eight of his ten goals this season in the Premier League on home soil. He is a 2/1 anytime goalscorer quote with online betting site Bet365. Leicester have won two of their last three home games against Southampton by a 3-2 scoreline. They would be more than happy to get out of this latest meeting with any kind of a 1 goal winning margin, which is trading at a price of 3/1 with Bet365.
Things have started to go a bit south for the the Saints. Since they lost keeper Fraser Forster, they have kept just the one clean sheet in the five league matches played without him. Forster has a joint league-high 13 clean sheets in 2014-1 and just shows how influential he is. Against the Foxes, Southampton have scored two goals in each of their last three away games against them, winning one 2-1 and losing the others 2-3. They did take a 2-0 home win over Leicester earlier in the season at St Mary’s, where two of Shane Long’s three goals for the Saints this season came from.
The Saints have picked up just one point in their last five Premier League away games (D1 L4), losing their last three on the bounce on the road. Their last four away defeats in the top flight have all been suffered by just a one goal margin, and with them looking a bit patchy, it could really afford Leicester the chance of a previous point. In the anytime goalscorer market, Graziano pelle is a 2/1 favourite option, although only one of his eleven goals this season have been on the road.
Given Southampton’s struggles without Forster between the sticks, there is a good chance for Leicester in this one. Every point counts right now and given their home form, they have to be good enough to avoid defeat in this one. Not likely to be a high scoring game and a draw doesn’t look an unreasonable option to back here.
