Lazio need a big finish to try and get themselves a top six finish this season. They have to produce a win in this one in order to have any chance of keeping that window open in the final weekend of action. So that is the big importance on this one. They will be facing a Bologna team though who are carrying a good bit of form with them. Read our Lazio v Bologna betting tips for more.

Lazio dug out a 2-1 win at Cagliari last weekend to keep their slim chances of a top-six finish alive. They need a win to potentially keep that going until the final weekend of the campaign. They haven’t been carrying great form on home soil though with back to back defeats at the Stadio Olimpico. They are W1 D1 L2 in their last four there in the league. That is part of an overall home record of W9 D4 L5 this season which they have posted there. Four of their five home defeats suffered have been against the current top four sides. All but one of their home wins have been against teams currently in the bottom half of the table.
Lazio have averaged 1.8 goals per home game this season and 67% of their home fixtures have made it over 2.5 goals. In total, they have taken a clean sheet in 28% of their home games but home and away combined, they have managed just the one in their last eight top-flight games. Lazio are currently on a thirteen match scoring streak at home, while they have conceded 68% of their home goals in the second period of fixtures. Lazio have opened the scoring in 13 of their 18 home games. It hasn’t been the greatest of season from them, they just have to leave it all out there in this one.
Lazio were 2-0 winners at Bologna in December
Lazio are undefeated in their last eleven against Bologna
Bologna have drawn their last two league visits to Lazio 1-1
Both teams have scored in five of the last seven meetings
Bologna have put together a good finish to their campaign. This is a team which won just three games from the start of the season to the start of March. But now they are W7 D1 L2 in their last ten league games, home and away. So that has been a transformation from them and they have no worries over relegation or anything to be bothered with. Their overall away record this season has seen them win just twice on the road, but both of those were against current top seven sides.
Bologna have averaged under a goal per game on their top-flight travels. They have picked up a clean sheet in 22% of their away games. The two wins that they have taken away from home this season have both been by a one-goal margin. They have only taken the one point from their last three league games on the road though. Bologna have scored almost 60% of their away goals in the second period of fixtures and each of their last four league games have gone over 2.5 goals. Over the last eight rounds of league action, Atalanta are the only team in Serie A to have picked up more points than Bologna have.
Lazio probably should just be sneaking out the win in this one. They need to and even though the form of Bologna has taken a dramatic upswing, seeing them win on the road looks like a slim shot. Lazio haven’t been great at home, so it’s a Lazio to win by a one-goal margin that looks like a decent proposition.

Atalanta will get the chance to secure just their second ever Coppa Italia title in midweek. Their first one happened back in 1963. With their successes over Lazio during the regular season, they have reason to be confident. Lazio are six-time winners of the competition but they kick off as the underdogs for this tie. Read our Atalanta v Lazio betting tips for more.

Atalanta are in great form at the moment with a long undefeated streak of form behind them. They are W9 D4 in their last thirteen games across all competitions now. They have won their last five games on the bounce and in that successful winning sequence was their 3-1 league success at Lazio in early May. Atalanta have scored at least two goals in each of their last five games now. They are currently on course to finish third in Serie A to reach the Champions League next season.
Atalanta opened their Coppa Italian campaign with a 2-0 win at Cagliari and then they pulled off the shock of this season’s tournament. That was a 3-0 home success over Juventus in the quarterfinals. They were then embroiled in a thrilling semi-final tussle against Fiorentina. The first leg was a 3-3 draw before Atalanta sealed the deal back at home with a 2-1 win. That put them through to their fourth Coppa Italia final. They won it in 1963 and were runners up in 1987 and most recently in 1996.
Atalanta won both league meetings with Lazio this season
Lazio are winless in their last four against Atalanta (W2 D2)
This will be the first Coppa Italia meeting between the two teams
Lazio lead the overall head to head W20 D13 L13
Lazio have some ground to make up to try and get a top-four finish in Serie A this season, just to put things into perspective for this game against Atalanta. Lazio have won three of their last four games played in all competitions, the one exception being the recent league defeat against Atalanta. Looking back at their expanded form a little bit they are W4 D1 L4 in their last nine played in all competitions. They have been having some struggles at the back a bit lately with just the one clean sheet earned in their last five played and with just two in their last nine.
It has actually been a strong campaign in the Coppa Italia by Lazio who opened with a 4-1 win over Novara. They then went up against Inter Milan in the quarterfinals, a tough game for them and Lazio took the win is a penalty shoot out at the San Siro. In the semifinals, it was AC Milan who they had to go cp against. After a 0-0 draw in the first leg, Lazio edged out a 1-0 win at the San Siro to get through. Lazio have won the Coppa Italia six times before, their last title coming back in the 2012/13 season.
Atalanta should have control on this big occasion. This isn’t likely to be a high scoring game between the two, but because Lazio have struggled against Atalanta this season and because Atalanta have a confident, long streak of undefeated of form behind them, they could pull it out. Atalanta to win.

Inter Milan are fighting to hold on to third place in the Italian top flight and they have won their last two games. So they have a little bit of form going. Lazio are just outside of the top six one-goal difference only. Read our Inter v Lazio betting tips for more.

Inter have won back to back league games and their most recent one will have been sweet for them. It was a 3-2 success against rivals AC Milan, an important three points that was for Inter in the push for a top-three finish. Inter are W9 D2 L2 at home this season and they have won their last two at the San Siro. This season Inter are undefeated on home soil against teams currently sitting in the top half of the table.
Inter have scored 21 goals in their 13 home games at an average of 1.6 per game. Just 38% of their home games have gone over 2.5 goals and that is because they have been tight at the back. They have only conceded six home goals all season, which is a clean sheet in 62% of their fixtures at the San Siro. Five of those six were conceded in the second half of matches. Inter have won 54% of their home games to nil. Home and away, Inter are on a six-match scoring streak and 67% of their home goals come after the halftime break.
Inter took a 3-0 win at Lazio earlier this season in the league
Inter have won three of their last five league games against Lazio (D2)
Lazio are W1 D2 L1 in their last four league visits to Inter
The last two meetings at the San Siro have ended in draws (all competitions)
Lazio sit on the outskirts of the top six then. They have some form behind them at the moment with four wins in their last six league fixtures (D1 L1). Their away record overall this season isn’t great at just W5 D3 L5 though. They have only taken the one win in their last four away from home, losing two of those. Their overall record, home and away, against sides currently in the top six isn’t great. It’s at W1 D1 L7 so they have struggled against the better teams.
Lazio have returned 14 goals in 13 away games, which is the same amount which they have conceded as well. Just 31% of their away games have made it over the 2.5 goal line this season. Lazio have earned a clean sheet in 31% of their road games. Three of their five away losses this season have been by a one-goal margin. Home and away, Lazio have scored in each of their last eleven league fixtures. They have scored 64% of their away goals in the second half of matches.
Inter should have the edge in this one. They have won their two home games this season against top-six opponents 1-0. Lazio have struggled against the stronger sides so it is Inter to win by a one-goal margin for this.

Sevilla hold a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg after good performance out in Italy. The Spaniards are in the driving seat clearly now and have produced some big home form this season. What response can Lazio come up with? Read our Sevilla v Lazio betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on February 17th, 2019 at 7:16 p.m.)
Sevilla only qualified for the knockout stage on matchday six of the Europa League, but got through on the head to head against Krasnodar. They won their group in the end though with 18 goals on the board (fourteen of those coming at home). Their 18 goals was more than any other team in the group stage managed. Sevilla have won all six of their European home games this season and in that sequence of match have scored 22 goals and have conceded just the one.
They are unbeaten in 17 at home against non-Spanish sides. Sevilla have won all seven of their previous UEFA competition ties after having won the first leg away from home. They have qualified from the round of 32 in each of their last three appearances at this stage. Their last two home defeats in the Europa League have both been at the hands of fellow Spanish teams. Sevilla’s record against Italian teams is W4 D2 L5. At home, it is W2 D1 L1 with a clean sheet in three of those.
The first leg was the first-ever meeting between the two
Sevilla hold a 1-0 lead in the tie
Lazio are now actually on a three-match losing streak in Europe after their home defeat at the Stadio Olimpico against Sevilla. So they have a lot of work on their hands here to try and get a win at such a good home side. Lazio have won three of their five previous ties at this stage of the UEFA Europa League. One of those defeats was against Spanish opposition, Atletico Madrid in 2011/12.
Twice before Lazio have lost the first home leg of a European tie and they failed to qualify on each occasion. Incidentally, both of those occasions were in the Round of 32 in the Europa League. Away from home currently in the Europa League, Lazio have lost three of their last four. The only saving grace here is that they have never before lost four matches no the bounce in the Europa League and this is their seventh campaign.
We didn’t see enough from Lazio to suggest that they are going to get back in this tie. Sevilla’s home form is impressive in Europe this season. It may just be simply worth sticking under 2.5 goals but Sevilla look the more likely of the two to win this second leg.

* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on February 11th, 2019 at 11:18 p.m.)
Lazio’s record against Spanish opponents is W5 D4 L9. This is a tough tie for them and what they can get out of this one at the Stadio Olimpico is going to be vitally important. The last time they met a Spanish side was in the 2011/12 Europa League when they lost to Atletico Madrid at this very stage. In the group stage of this season’s Europa League Lazio finished as runners up behind German side Frankfurt, collecting half of the points Frankfurt did.
Still, Lazio qualified with two games to spare. The Italians have taken a win in three of their five previous round of 32 ties in the Europa League. They hold a W3 L2 record at this stage of the competition on home soil. Both of those defeats in that sequence were in the first leg of ties, the three wins were second legs. Lazio have won 11 of their last 15 (D2 L2) home games in Europe. Their home record in the knockout stage of the Europa League is W5 D2 L3.
Sevilla finished seventh in last season’s LA Liga which mean that they had to start all the way back in the second qualification round this season. They won all six of their qualification matches. Then in the group stage, they topped their section with 12 points, scoring 18 goals. No teams scored more than that in the first round of action. From their three previous appearances at this stage of the competition, Sevilla have won the tournament three times.
The Spaniards have won ten of their 12 European matches this season totalling 35 goals and conceding just seven. They have only won two of their last seven games outside of Spain though. One was against Akhisar on matchday four. The other was their 2016 Final victory over Liverpool. Sevilla hold a W3 D2 L5 record against Italian clubs. Sevilla and Chelsea are the only two former Europa League Winners left in this season’s competition.
This should be a really tight scrap between them. It could all boil down to which of them does that little bit better on home soil. We can see them both winning their home legs, so we’ll stick with Lazio opening with a win at 11/8 odds* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on February 11th, 2019 at 11:18 p.m.)

That is a four-match winning streak Napoli are on over Lazio
Both teams have scored in four of the last five meetings
Napoli are undefeated in three at home against Lazio
Lazio played out a 1-1 draw with Tornio in their last league game
Their away form for the season in the top flight is W4 D2 L3
Telling they have lost all four of their away games played against current top eight sides
Lazio have produced ten goals in their ten away games, conceding nine
Just 22% of their away games have gone over 2.5 goals
Lazio won their last away game, a 2-0 success at Bologna
That left them with three clean sheets away from home this season
Lazio have only found themselves ahead at the halftime break in one away fixture this season
Of their ten away goals scored, eight of them have been in the second half of fixtures
Each of Lazio’s last five road games in Serie A have gone under 2.5 goals
Lazio have opened the scoring in five of their away games this season in the league
They have scored in 78% of their away league games this term
Napoli have a bit of form going over Lazio and they are a strong home side. They will likely get a good workout in this one, but Napoli to win & both teams to score does look a pretty decent proposition.

With Rangers failing to get past the group stage of this season’s Europa League and all four English teams in the Premier League making it through to the knockout stage, it left Celtic, Chelsea and Arsenal as the three British representatives in the draw for the Round of 32 in the Europa League.
Of them, it is Celtic who have drawn the toughest opponent as they will take on Spanish side Valencia.
Eintracht Frankfurt 20/1
Real Betis 33/1
Bayer Leverkusen 33/1
Shakhtar Donetsk 40/1
Zenit St Petersburg 40/1
* (betting odds taken from bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 5:29 pm)
Celtic have been drawn against Valencia in the round of the 32. It is one of the tougher draws that they could have gotten, but Valencia aren’t having the greatest of seasons by their standards in the Spanish top flight, hovering around in the bottom half of the table. They were in the Champions League but finished third behind Juventus and Manchester United.
Celtic, with a bit of luck on matchday six, got through their campaign in second place behind RB Salzburg. Celtic and Valencia have met twice before. The first was back in the 1962 Fairs Cup and then they were next paired up in the third round of the 2001 UEFA Cup. They traded 1-0 home wins in the tie, before the Spaniards won a penalty shoot-out at Celtic Park.
To Qualify: Valencia 1/5, Celtic 10/3* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 2:16 pm)
The Gunners topped their Europa League group with a lot of ease and not even sending out of full strength sides. They were seeded for the round of 32 draw and they have come up trumps in terms of the ease of opponent in the first knockout stage. They go up against Belarusian side BATE Borisov, who finished second in their group behind Chelsea. BATE lost both games against Chelsea in that group stage. They are familiar with Arsenal too as they met in last season’s Europa League group stage. It was all too easy for Arsenal as they collected a 4-2 win in Belarus and then 6-0 back at home.
To Qualify: Arsenal 1/12, BATE 7/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 2:16 pm)
The Blues, much like Arsenal had such an easy time in the group stage without ever needing to send out a full-strength side. They won their group at a canter with a W5 D1 record in their six games. They were seeded for the Round of 32 draw and they go up against Malmo in the first knockout stage. Malmo had a competitive group on their hands where they finished second behind Belgian side Genk with a W2 D3 L1 record, just holding off Besiktas in the end. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Little surprise that it is the Premier League side are strong favourites.
To Qualify: Chelsea 1/33, Malmo 14/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 2:16 pm)
Beyond the British clubs, we have spotted a couple of other good looking ties for the Round of 32. Rapid Vienna v Inter is a good one because it will see the Austrians trying to knock off one of the stronger sides in the competition. Inter beat them on their way to winning their first ever UEFA Cup title back in the 1990/91 season. Rapid Vienna pushed Villarreal hard in their Europa League group finishing level on points with them. Inter drop down from the Champions League as they failed to beat Spurs to second place in their group behind Barcelona. Inter are 1/14 odds-on favourites to qualify* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 2:16 pm).
The biggest showdown of the round though is Lazio v Sevilla. Lazio could only land a second place finish in their Europa League group behind Eintracht Frankfurt, going W3 L3 in their campaign. So there were vulnerabilities there and they could have a tough time of things against the five-time Champions. Sevilla won their group but were pushed all the way by Krasnodar and Standard Liege. This should be a really good tie and it is the Spaniards who are going as the 1/2 odds-on favourites To Qualify* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on December 17th, 2018 at 2:16 pm).

Lazio have won back to back league games heading into this fixture, that was after banking a comfortable 2-0 away win at Parma last weekend. Both of those wins were with a clean sheet. In their last seven league games, Lazio have powered their way to a W6 L1 record, with the only reverse in that sequence happening in a fixture against Roma. Lazio have lost their two games so far this season played against sides currently in the top four (Napoli and Juventus) so that is a bit of a concern from a betting perspective. Lazio are W4 L1 at home this season, winning each of their last three.
Lazio have produced the seven home goals across four games this season and two of those games have seen them get a clean sheet. Under 2.5 goals is at even money odds* (betting odds taken on October 28th, 2018 at 12:13 pm). There is a good trend with Lazio in that they have opened the scoring in each of their four home games this season while they have not been trailing at halftime in any of them. Ciro Immobile is on a three-match scoring streak in the top flight. Immobile is 5/6 in the anytime goalscorer market* (betting odds taken on October 28th, 2018 at 12:13 pm). Lazio have put together a seven-match scoring streak in the top flight and four of their six wins this season have been by a one-goal margin.
Inter took four points from league meetings with Lazio last season
Three of the last four meetings have produced an away win (D1) (all competitions)
Four of the last five meetings in all competitions have gone over 2.5 goals
Lazio have lost their last two league home games against Inter
Inter have scored exactly three goals in three of their last four league games against Lazio
Inter are unbeaten in four Serie A games against Lazio (D2)
Inter came out on top in a Milan derby last weekend, Mauro Icardi getting the weekend deep into stoppage time for them at the San Siro. Those three points moved Inter onto a five-match winning streak in the top flight. Four of the six wins Inter have recorded this season have all been with a clean sheet as well. An Inter to win to nil option is at 9/2 odds* (betting odds taken on October 28th, 2018 at 12:13 pm). The interesting thing about them in this one is that they have yet to face a current top four side either home or away this season.
Inter are on a three-match winning streak away from home, shipping only two goals in their four road fixtures. The 1-1 correct score option is the shortest-priced option in the market at 11/2 odds* (betting odds taken on October 28th, 2018 at 12:13 pm). Inter have scored the bulk of their goals (83% actually) away from home in the second half of games. They have opened the scoring in all but one of their four road games as well. The half time draw probably isn’t a bad option for this. Inter Milan have scored 54% of their goals after the 75th minute. Mauro Icardi has scored each of Inter’s last three goals in Serie A and Icardi is at 6/5 in the anytime goalscorer market
The draw tops out our prediction for Lazio v Inter. They have very similar form this season and the reason we can’t fully support Inter for a win is that they are untested against the top sides in the league so far. Draw.

Chelsea’s, Arsenal, Celtic and Rangers now all know what they will be facing up to in the Group Stage of the UEFA Europa League this season. The draw for the group stage of the 2018/19 competition was made on Friday, August 31st and it appears and if the bookmakers are siding with the strengths of the English represents.
Chelsea are the 11/2 outright favourites at bet365 to win the tournament outright, with Arsenal 8/1 second-favourites* (betting odds taken on August 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm).
Here we take a look at the Europa League Groups Draw and make our predictions. The first match will be on September 20th, 2018. There are nine debutants in the group stage this season including Dudelange who are the first ever team from Luxembourg to reach this stage.
Bayern Leverkusen 25/1
AC Milan 25/1
RB Leipzig 25/1
Zenit St Petersburg 40/1
* (betting odds taken on August 31, 2018, at 5:00 pm)
Group A: Bayer Leverkusen (GER), Ludogorets (BUL), Zürich (SUI), AEK Larnaca (CYP)
This isn’t an easy group for Celtic. They will be taking on Salzburg who holds the record for the most Europa League group stage appearances (8) as well dangerous Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig. They are actually the sister club of the Austrian champions. Salzburg dropped down from the UEFA Champions League play offs where they lost to Red Star Belgrade. They are the all-time leaders in goals and points in the UEFA Europa League.
German side Leipzig were in the Champions League last season but couldn’t get out of it. They dropped to the Europa League and reached the quarter finals. They are in the Europa League after a sixth-place Bundesliga finish last season. The Bhoys will also meet up with Rosenborg as well.
They were together in the qualifying rounds of this season’s Champions League with Celtic taking a 3-1 aggregate win, with all the goals in the tie happening at Celtic Park. Rosenborg went on to beat Cork and the Shkendija to make their way through to the group stage of the Europa League.
Prediction: We can see Celtic doing enough, particularly at home to get themselves through to the knockout phase of the competition. However, we see Salzburg being the ones who land the group win.
Group C: Zenit (RUS), København (DEN), Bordeaux (FRA), Slavia Praha (CZE)
Group D: Anderlecht (BEL), Fenerbahçe (TUR), Dinamo Zagreb (CRO), Spartak Trnava (SVK)
The Gunners have a lot of travelling to do in their group, which won’t please boss Unai Emery too much. That’s just extra demand on resources. Just their trip to Baku to face Qarabag is 2,400 miles. Anyway, this should be a pretty easy group nonetheless for the Gunners. Qarabag were in the Champions League last season but they have had a really poor time of things in previous matches against English sides.
Vorskla are the Ukrainian champions and this will be just their second appearance in the group stage of the Europa League (which was back in the 2011/12 season). Sporting are going to be the biggest challengers to Arsenal even though they have had a huge summer of turmoil. Their players were attacked at their training ground by “fans” last season and that sparked an exodus of players, including some cancelling their own contracts.
Prediction: Arsenal have a manager with good experience in Europe and they should be fine in this one. They are strong enough in UEFA Europa League betting at bet365 to back to win the group. We are backing Sporting, who have former Manchester United winger Nani playing for them, to join them in qualification.
Group F: Olympiacos (GRE), AC Milan (ITA), Real Betis (ESP), Dudelange (LUX)
It has been a good step forward for Rangers as they came through a long qualification campaign to get to the group stage. They survived with nine-men in their playoff round second leg out in Russia against Ufa. Rangers will have to deal with another long trip to Moscow on matchday four which is going to be taking. Spartak finished third in the Russian top flight last season.
This is a fantastic experience for new manager Steven Gerrard who now has to balance trying to get a domestic challenge in the Scottish Premiership going, along with these tough Thursday night European games. Villarreal are the favourites in the group and our prediction is that they will win this group with all of their experience and quality. They were fifth in La Liga last season to get straight through to the group stage. Rangers met Villarreal in the 2005/06 Champions League group stage.
Rangers will get a good chance of qualification as long as they can stay strong at Ibrox. Rapid Vienna came through a couple of qualification rounds to get to this stage. They were third-place finishers in the Austrian top flight last term.
Prediction: Villarreal are likely going to be too strong to catch, so they are our tip to win the group. It is a toss-up between the other three but we ultimately see Rangers just being squeezed out by Moscow for that second spot.
Group H: Lazio (ITA), Marseille (FRA), Eintracht Frankfurt (GER), Apollon (CYP)
Group I: Beşiktaş (TUR), Genk (BEL), Malmö (SWE), Sarpsborg (NOR)
Group J: Sevilla (ESP), Krasnodar (RUS), Standard Liège (BEL), Akhisar Belediyespor (TUR)
Group K: Dynamo Kyiv (UKR), Astana (KAZ), Rennes (FRA), Jablonec (CZE)
Chelsea who are the 11/1 outright favourites to win this season’s Europa League* (betting odds taken on August 31, 2018, at 5:00 pm) will be delighted with the group stage draw that they have received. Hungarian side Vidi (formerly Videton) lost a Champions League play-off tie against AEK Athens this season to drop to the Europa League. This is their first group stage action since the 2012/13 season.
PAOK were runners-up in the Greek top flight last season and like Vidi, they fell from Champions League qualifiers this season where they suffered a playoff loss against Benfica. BATE had to face up to an English side in last season’s Europa League group stage as they met Arsenal. The Belarusian side ended up finishing bottom of the group and were hammered 10-2 on aggregate by the Gunners across their two games.
Prediction: So this should be routine for Chelsea at the end of the day and they will do enough at Stamford Bridge to be comfortable and win the group. It’s hard to see a real threat here and even picking the best of the other three is a tough thing. We are going to side with PAOK to produce enough stubbornness against substandard opposition to follow the Blues through.

There was big drama as Juventus banked a last-gasp win in the opening match of their title defence in Serie A. They were under huge pressure from Chievo and at the end of the day, after being denied by VAR, they were awarded the winner by another VAR decision. It was a frantic finish but Juve still got the win. They get a tough one here against Lazio who had a disappointing start as they slipped at home to Napoli after having taken the lead in the game. There was some big pressure that Juventus were under last weekend. They had to battle away win a 3-2 win out at Chievo having come from behind in the game. There was high drama too as Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a winning goal late on because of VAR. Then VAR turned in the favour of Juventus at the death as they got the ball in the back of the net for a dramatic winner from Federico Bernardeschi. This is their home opener for the season and so the home support will get their first look at Cristiano Ronaldo who is the 11/4 first goalscorer favourite* (Betting Odds were taken from August 20th, 2018 at 11:13 p.m.). He is looking to open his official account for Juventus having failed to net last weekend on his debut.
So a nervous start was made by Juventus, but they will get stronger. You look at this game and the immediate thought is goals but were are not going to go with that for our Juventus v Lazio predictions. We are going the other way and backing both teams not to score at 3/4 odds* (Betting Odds were taken from August 20th, 2018 at 11:13 p.m.) because of the recent head to head between the clubs. Juventus are going to be stronger back on home soil and they have suffered just two defeats in their last 36 league games. Juventus have also scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight home matches and in the correct score market the shortest priced option is indeed a Juventus 2-0 result which is a decent option for Juventus v Lazio betting tips. Juventus went W16 D1 L2 at home last term taking a clean sheet in 63% of their games.
You generally get entertainment at the moment when Lazio are playing. Last season in Serie A they took a record of W12 D4 L3. But they only managed the one win on the road against others who finished in the top seven. That lone away win was at Juventus though. Lazio were just scoring for fun last season in the Scudetto last season largely thanks to Ciro Immobile who is a 2/1 anytime goalscorer option for this game* (Betting Odds were taken from August 20th, 2018 at 11:13 p.m.). The problem with them is that they aren’t a particularly stable side in defence and will give up chances. Immobile put them ahead last weekend at home against Napoli, but they couldn’t hold on and lost 2-1. Lazio collected a clean sheet in just 21% of their away games in Serie A last season.
Last season these two met three times with Lazio coming out on top with two wins and a defeat. They took a win in this corresponding league fixture as well as a success in the Italian Super Cup. Those results were against the grain as Juventus were on a ten-match winning streak against Lazio in all competitions before last season. Both teams have scored in just two of the last ten meetings.
We are going to side with Juventus coming away with the victory and we are going to back them to do it with a clean sheet as well. That has been a fairly big trend in recent meetings between them. This will be Ronaldo’s home debut. The crowd will be pretty pumped up.
