The Blues have enjoyed some good successes at St Andrew’s recently and will be looking to keep their good home form going. It would be a fourth straight home win if they beat Fulham on the weekend. The Cottagers are struggling to get those wins on the board, taking one in their last five only. Read our Birmingham vs Fulham betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 7th, 2019 at 6:35 p.m.)
The Blues have won their last three league home games, the most recent of which was a 2-1 success over Luton. All three wins in that sequence were by one goal margin, so there is a trend right off the bat. Birmingham have taken a W5 D1 L1 record this season at home, which is superb. Only Preston and Cardiff have produced a better home record than that. Despite the good home success, Birmingham have conceded in 71% of their home games this season.
Four of their five home wins have been by a margin of one goal, as has six of their seven league wins home and away combined. In total Birmingham have conceded only five goals at home this season in the league. While their stats are superb, it is worth noting that four of their wins at St Andrew’s have been against the current bottom four. So their home record could be a little skewed because of that. Birmingham have scored 69% of their goals this season in the second half of fixtures.
The two traded home win sin the 2017/18 Championship
Each of the last three meetings have ended in a home win
Both teams have scored in one of the last four meetings
Fulham have won one of the last seven games against Birmingham
Fulham were tripped up by Hull last weekend. That was a big 3-0 reverse that they took at Craven Cottage. It leaves Fulham with a W1 D2 L2 record in their last five league games. They have failed to score in three of their last four too, which is worth noting. The away record of the Cottagers this season is W2 D3 L2 so nothing to get too excited about. The two wins have been at teams who are currently 18th or lower.
Fulham have come up with only the one away clean sheet this season. Even though the goals have dried up for them recently, only four teams have scored more goals in the Championship that Fulham have done. However, Fulham have only scored 45% of all their league goals this season away from Craven Cottage. Only 29% of Fulham’s away games this season have made it over 2.5 goals.
Hard to read this one really as Birmingham’s successes at home have largely been against struggling teams. So will they handle Fulham? It may be worth a flutter on the home side nicking this one as the Cottagers have just lost their way in front of goal.

It has been a season which fell well below expectations for Middlesbrough. They head into the weekend only one point clear of the relegation zone. The pressure is on them here. Fulham meanwhile are well in the mix in a competitive top ten. Read our Middlesbrough v Fulham betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on October 25th, 2019 at 11:15 p.m.)
Boro played out a 0-0 draw at Huddersfield last weekend. Not the result that they would have wanted because it could have created a nice little cushion between themselves and the drop zone. Instead, they are only one point clear of the bottom three and on a six-match winless streak. Boro have taken two points in that six-match sequence only. The two wins that Middlesbrough have taken in this season’s league have both come at the Riverside (D2 L3).
Those were against Wigan and Reading who are currently inside the bottom six with them. This is going to be a much tougher home game. Boro have managed only five home goals this season and average less than a goal per game home and away combined. Just 14% of games at the Riverside this season have gone over 2.5 goals. Boro have been level at half time in 5 of their 7 home games (W1 L1) which is a nice trend. They are currently 14 points worse off than they were at this stage of last season’s campaign.
The Cottagers played out a 3-2 home win over Luton in midweek to keep themselves up in the top ten. It is a W6 D4 L2 record that the Cottagers have secured this season, and out on the road, their record is an even W2 D2 L2. The Cottagers are currently on a four-match scoring streak in the league. But their output has been almost half as less out on the road to what they have produced at Craven Cottage. Just 33% of fulham’s away games have gone over 2.5 goals.
Fulham have no clean sheet away from home this season. They have conceded at least two goals in each of their last three league fixtures. A huge positive for them is that only two sides have scored more league goals than they have done in this season’s Championship. They haven’t been that bad off in defence either. Fulham have scored in all but two of their twelve league games this season.
Boro are all out shape at the moment and even though Fulham haven’t been quite as productive away from home, they are likely to have enough to bring down the home side. A narrow win for the visitors fits the bill nicely for a betting angle.

Stoke shed a little bit of doom and gloom as they won their first game of the season just before the international break. Can they start to build on that now and find a way to claw themselves off the bottom of the table? Fulham are hovering on the outskirts of the top six, currently on a good undefeated streak of form. Read our Stoke v Fulham betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on October 15th, 2019 at 7:25 p.m.)
Finally, it happened. Stoke earned a 2-1 upset win at Swansea in their final game before the international break. That was their first win of the season which now leaves them at W1 D2 L8 for this campaign. They are still stuck to the bottom of the Championship table. The Potters have taken a beating defensively, as one would imagine for a bottom of the table team. Stoke have conceded an average of 2 goals per fixture this season, shipping a total of 13 in six home games.
Their home record sits at a miserable D1 L5 at the moment, with no clean sheet. Four of the five home defeats they have suffered at the Bet365 Stadium have been by a margin of just one goal. 9 of the 13 goals that the Potters have conceded on home soil this season have come in the second half of fixtures. The Staffordshire club needs a huge lift and have only opened the scoring in three of their eleven games this season. Can they deliver their first home win?
Stoke have won the last two meetings against Fulham
This will be the first clash in the league since the 2014 EPL
Both teams have scored in just one of the last five meetings
Five of the last six meetings have produced a home win
The Potters are undefeated in their last six league games and hold an overall W5 D4 L2 return from this campaign. They lost their opening away game of the season out at Barnsley. But they have remained undefeated on the road since then, taking a W2 D2 record in their other four road games. The two wins that they have recorded on their travels happened against Huddersfield and Reading who are currently sat down in the bottom four.
So the Cottagers will be looking to deliver against the bottom side as well. Fulham are averaging 1.8 goals per fixture this season in the league. However they have managed to take only the one clean sheet in their last seven played. Overall this season, Fulham have scored in all but one of their league fixtures and have netted at least two goals in each of their last three played. The Cottagers have opened the scoring in seven of their eleven games in this campaign. Only two teams in the division have scored more league goals than Fulham have.
Stoke earned themselves a bright moment last time out, but they could be brought back down to earth with a bit of a bump. Fulham have the scoring power in them, averaging almost two goals per game, to go and get themselves the win at the Bet365 Stadium. Away win.

The Cottagers have not clicked as well as they were expected to do in the Championship this season. They have slipped back to a four-match winless streak of form. They will welcome Wigan to Craven Cottage on Friday night. The Latics bagged just their second win of the season last weekend. Read our Fulham v Wigan betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 25th, 2019 at 11:35 p.m.)
The Cottagers find themselves on a three-match sequence of drawn games. Those were all 1-1 results as well. Overall it is a four-match winless streak of form from them at the moment in the Championship. Pre-season they had been pegged as one of the favourites for promotion. Their home record in the second tier is W2 D1 L1 so far. Their first loss on home soil this season came in a 2-1 reverse against Nottingham Forest.
Fulham have scored in all of their home games and in each of their last seven home and away. Only 38% of Fulham’s league games this season have made it over 2.5 goals. The two home victories which they have recorded have both been by a margin of at least two goals. Another trend with them is that they have been leading at halftime in two of their four played at Craven Cottage. Fulham netted the opening goal in five of their eight Championship games.
Fulham have remained unbeaten in their last eight home games against Wigan
The last time they met was in the 2016/17 Championship
Three of the last four meetings have gone over 3.5 goals
Four of the last five meetings have ended in a draw
The Latics gave themselves a nice boost last weekend with a 2-0 success over Charlton. That moved them onto a three-match undefeated streak of form (W1 D2). That upturn in form came after a four match losing streak that they had been on, in which they had scored only one goal. Away from home Wigan are D1 L3 from their four played and have no clean sheet on the road.
Wigan have conceded the opening goal in four of their eight league games this season. They have been losing at half time in five of their eight. Heading into the next round of action, there are only three teams in the division who have conceded more goals than Wigan have. This is not going to be an easy trip to Craven Cottage for them. They would be delighted you would imagine, to come away with a draw. Wigan have won only one of their last 25 away games in the Championship.
This is a big chance for Fulham to get some momentum going again. They have been missing the mark recently but should carve out chances against Wigan less than rock-solid defence. The Cottagers can do enough to keep the visitors off the scoreboard. Fulham to win to nil.

The Cottagers are sitting inside the top six, but they have managed to take just one point from their last two games. So they will be looking to rebuild after the international break. They get a tough game though as the unbeaten West Brom pay a visit to Craven Cottage, the Baggies starting in the top six also. Read our Fulham v West Brom betting tips for more.
Fulham even money
West Brom 13/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 10th, 2019 at 12:31 p.m.)
Just when Fulham looked to be getting things together with a three-match winning streak going, it fell apart a little for them just before the international break. They suffered a home loss against Nottingham Forest before being held to a 1-1 draw at Cardiff. That leaves the Cottagers, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, with a W3 D1 L2 record in this season’s Championship.
Incidentally, the loss against Forest snapped an 18 match undefeated streak of home form in the second tier that Fulham were on. A positive is that they have scored seven goals in their three home games (W2 L1) and their loss at Barnsley on the opening weekend is the only game in which they have failed to score.
The Cottagers have opened the scoring in two of their three home games. Fulham have also been leading at half time in two of their three at Craven Cottage this season. Top scorer for the Cottagers is Aleksandar Mitrovic with five goals already.
This is the first meeting since the 2013/14 Premier League
Four of the last six meetings have ended in a draw
Fulham are unbeaten in their last seven games against West Brom (W3 D4)
The Cottagers are undefeated in their last twelve home fixtures against West Brom
West Brom were expected to be one of the leading contenders for promotion to the top flight this season. Just like Fulham. They have looked the part for that as well with an unbeaten W3 D3 record under their belt. So a very solid start has been made by the Baggies who have taken a W2 D1 record away from home. Their two wins away from the Hawthorns were by a 2-1 scoreline over Nottingham Forest and Luton. Their draw came in 1-1 results against Derby in their last road game.
Both teams have scored in all six of West Brom’s league games this season, so that’s a decent betting trend to look at. All three of West Brom’s goals which they have conceded away from home have been in the first half of matches. Despite their unbeaten start to this season, West Brom have managed to open the scoring in just one of their six games. In each of their three road games, they conceded the opening goal inside the first fifteen minutes of action. They clearly have something to work on there.
This is going to be an interesting game because both of these have goals in them. That makes it a pretty tough game to call because both look likely to concede as well. The best option that we can see is the draw in the match outright. Neither look like losing.

Both Cardiff and Fulham took a tumble from the Premier League last term. Cardiff will be looking for more home joy this season in the Championship as that is where their two wins for the new campaign have been produced. Fulham had a three-match winning streak snapped last weekend as they were toppled at Craven Cottage by Nottingham Forest. Read our Cardiff v Fulham betting tips for more.

Cardiff have won their two league home games this season, both 2-1 successes over Luton and Huddersfield. So will the Bluebirds be able to keep their momentum going?. Their overall record for the season in the Championship is W2 D1 L2. They played out a 0-0 draw at Blackburn on the weekend which was their first clean sheet of the new campaign.
So the betting trends are there with the 2-1 scoreline, Cardiff scoring exactly 2 goals and both of their home games going over 2.5 goals. All but one of the six goals that have been produced in Cardiff’s home games this season have been scored in the second half of matches. In last season’s Premier League, Cardiff claimed a 4-2 home victory over the Cottagers and if they were to win this latest meeting they would jump above Fulham by a point.
Each of the last three meetings in Wales have gone over 3.5 goals
The two traded home wins in the Premier League last season
Fulham have lost one of their last 9 against Cardiff in all competitions
Both teams have scored in all but one of the last nine meetings
Fulham will start the new weekend of Championship action sitting in fifth place in the table. It has been a W3 L2 record produced by the Cottagers this season in the second tier. They were on a three-match winning streak before being toppled at home by Nottingham Forest last weekend. That was something of a surprise and it creates a bit of pressure on them now for this fixture.
They did come up with a good winning response after losing their opening game of the season at Barnsley. That is one win and one defeat which Fulham have taken on the road this season, their success happening against another of last season’s relegated Premier League teams, Huddersfield. Each of those last three Championship games for Fulham have gone over 2.5 goals.
Cardiff, albeit by the narrowest of margins, have delivered at home the season in the Championship. With Fulham having a wobble last time out, there may be a bit of value in backing the Bluebirds to follow up on last season’s home win over the Cottagers.

The Cottagers have gone W3 L2 in their Championship campaign so far. They suffered a surprise home lose against Nottingham Forest on the weekend. Before that they had put together a three-match winning streak, scoring at least two goals in each of those games.
Fulham made it to the fourth round of last season’s EFL Cup, getting knocked out by Man City. It leaves the Cottagers with a W3 L3 record in their last six League Cup games. They have lost two of their last three at home.
The Saints finally got their season up and going on the weekend. That was with a 2-0 away win in the Premier League against Brighton. They had lost their opening two games of the season. With their early-season struggles, what will boss Ralph Hasenhuttl do here? Give his main crop of players more playing time or rest them?
The Saints have lost three of their last five EFL Cup games. Their last two have both gone to penalties, the Saints beating Everton in a shootout in last season’s third round, before then losing to Leicester in the next round. Southampton have scored just two goals in their last four EFL Cup games, total.
There has to be enough in this to warrant having a go at the home victory. Fulham have been scoring well on home soil and Southampton may not turn up with the strongest side. Fulham to qualify at least, or just a straight home win.

Nottingham Forest 9/2

Well, it didn’t take Fulham too long to find their footing. They started the season with a 1-0 loss at Barnsley. That was a heavy blow to kick things off following their Premier League relegation last season. But they have received so very well, winning their following three games. The Hatters scored at least two goals in each of those three successes as well.
Following wins over Blackburn and Huddersfield, Fulham hosted Millwall in midweek and took a resounding 4-0 win. Ivan Cavaleiro has three goals in his last two games for them. Aleksandar Mitrovic is now on a three-match scoring streak. Given that their two home games have produced 2-0 and 4-0 wins for Fulham, it’s little surprise that they are strong favourites for this.
Fulham beat Forest twice in the 2017/18 Championship
The Cottagers are on a three-match winning streak against Forest
Four of the last six meetings have produced at least three goals
Both teams have scored in all but one of the last five
Forest suffered a loss in their opening game of the season too. They went down 2-1 at home against West Brom. But they too have been on the road to recovery, stringing together a three-match undefeated streak of form (W1 D2). In midweek they played out a 1-1 draw at the newly-promoted Charlton.
That is 1-1 score lines in both of Nottingham Forest’s away games in the Championship this season. Those were against sides who are starting the weekend up in the top five (Leeds and Charlton). A positive for Forest is that they have scored in all four games. They have taken just the one clean sheet though. The Tricky Trees have yet to be leading at half time away from home this season (D1 L1).
We will predict that Nottingham Forest get on the scoresheet, but that they are still going to fall at the hands of Fulham. The Cottagers are likely to have unrivalled scoring power this season in the Championship and should get the win.

The Cottagers have recovered well from their shock opening loss of the new season back down in the Championship. With back to back wins, they now have some wind in their sails. * (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on August 20th, 2019 at 9:40 p.m.)
The Cottagers opened with 1-0 loss out at Barnsley, not what they wanted after suffering relegation from the Premier League last season. But to their credit, Scott Parker’s men have fought back really well to take back to back wins over Blackburn and Huddersfield.
The win over Blackburn was their only home game so far with their next two league outings coming at Craven Cottage, this is a good chance for them to build some bigger momentum. Aleksandar Mitrovic has scored in Fulham’s last two games so has hit a bit of form. If they can take any positives away from their relegation at the end of last season, it was that all but one of the seven wins that they recorded the last term were at Craven Cottage.
This is the first league meeting since the 2017/18 Championship
Both teams have scored in just one of the last six league meetings
Fulham are W2 D1 L1 in four previous Championship games against Millwall
Just one of the last six league meetings have gone over 2.5 goals
It has been a strong start by Millwall with seven points from their three games so far. Considering that they only finished one place above the drop zone last season in the Championship, this has been a wonderful turn around from them. The two wins that Millwall have taken this season in the league were both at The Den.
In their one away game, they picked up a very good point out at West Brom. That’s all three of their league games this season going under 2.5 goals and Matt Smith has scored their last two Championship goals. The Lions had a tough time of things on the road in the last campaign, taking just a W3 D5 L15 record.
This should be a really good game with both teams having started so well. The impetus will all be on Fulham to come out and collect the victory. Millwall are in good enough defensive form to make him work hard for it. However, a home win still looks likely.

Just last season this was a Premier League fixture. But with relegation blighting both of them at the end of the campaign, this game kicks off the Championship action for the weekend. While Fulham managed to get their first win of the season last weekend, the Terriers are still looking for their first. Read our Huddersfield v Fulham betting tips for more.
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on August 13th, 2019 at 6:35 p.m.)
The Terriers opened the new season with a 1-2 loss on home soil against Derby. Not the start that they would have wanted having dropped down a tier. But they rallied themselves to some extent to collect a 1-1 draw at QPR last weekend. So at least they are off the mark. Both of the league goals that the Terriers have scored this season have been converted penalty kicks by Karlan Ahearne-Grant.
Huddersfield finish bottom of the Premier League last season, winning just three fixtures the entire campaign. Two of those three were at home (W2 D3 L14). One of them was a 1-0 success over Fulham as well, so they can at least look to that for some confidence. If you take last season into consideration it is a twelve match sequence of league games for Huddersfield now without a win (D3 L9). There may be a tough road ahead for Jan Siewert’s men this season.
The two traded 1-0 home wins last season
Fulham have won three of the last four against the Terriers
Huddersfield have won only one of the last 13 meetings
Fulham are W2 D1 from their three previous Championship visits to the John Smith’s Stadium
The Cottagers did not come out of the gates this season in winning form as was expected. They slipped to a 1-0 away loss at Barnsley. But they got themselves up and running last weekend with a comfortable 2-0 home success over Blackburn. So Scott Parker’s men are on the way and will be looking for some returns from this. Fulham remain one of the promotion favourites in the second tier for this campaign.
It was Fulham’s defence which failed them so badly in the top flight last season. They conceded a total of 81 goals. On their travels they did win just the one game which was out at Bournemouth in their penultimate road fixture of the season. After their loss at Barnsley on the opening weekend of this new season, Fulham have lost 9 of their last 10 league away games. But they do have a pretty decent run of head to head form going against the Terriers.
Fulham do have a strong squad for this Championship campaign and they look the more likely of the two to pick up a win. With both teams scoring in Huddersfield’s two games this season, we are going to plump for over 2.5 goals and the away win.
