Euro Betting

England v Bulgaria Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 7th September 5.00pm

After their break for the UEFA Nations League Finals, England get back to Euro 2020 qualification on the weekend. Despite having played at least one game less than anyone else in the group, England are still top after winning their first two games. Bulgaria go into the fixture bottom of the pile. Read our England v Bulgaria betting tips for more.

England v Bulgaria Betting Odds*

England 1/12
Draw 10/1
Bulgaria 20/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

England News and Form

England are P2 W2 with a goal difference of +9. That is what you would call a solid start to proceedings from the Three Lions. They opened with a thumping 5-0 home win over the Czech Republic, who were regarded as England’s strongest opposition in the group. The Three Lions then followed it up with a 5-1 away win at Montenegro. England have lost one of their last nine games played now, the lone defeat their extra-time loss against the Netherlands in the Nations League Finals.

Other than that it has been pretty positive for Gareth Southgate’s men. England are always so strong at qualification campaigns and they are currently on a twelve match winning streak in European Championship qualifiers. The last time that England lost such a match was back in 2007 against Croatia. So that is a massive unbeaten streak that they are on in these games. England are on a seven-match home winning streak in qualifiers, conceding just one goal in that sequence.

England v Bulgaria Head to Head

This is the first meeting since 2011 when England won 3-0
Bulgaria are winless in 10 previous clashes with England (D4 L6)
England have won the last two meetings, scoring seven unanswered goals
Bulgaria have scored in just two of their previous ten games against England (two goals total)

Bulgaria News and Form

Bulgaria are still looking for their first win of the qualification campaign. They have taken just two points from their four games so far, the draws coming against Montenegro and Kosovo. They then lost 2-1 against the Czech Republic and suffered a shock home defeat against Kosovo in their second match with them.

So qualification looks a long way off for them. Bulgaria have won only one of their last eight European Championship qualification matches now (D2 L5) so don’t exactly have any form going behind them. In these qualifiers, Bulgaria have taken just the one point from their last four. Their last two wins on the road in European Championship qualifiers happened at Azerbaijan and Malta. It’s hard to see them having the answers to the question that England are going to pose them.

England v Bulgaria Tips & Odds

2-0 correct score England at 5/1
Harry Kane to score 2 or more at 13/8
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – England v Bulgaria Predictions

There has to be a routine victory coming up for the Three Lions in this one. England have shown more than enough attacking intent under Gareth Southgate to take the game to the opposition here. A comfortable win to nil should suffice for England.

Serbia v Portugal Prediction & Betting Tips, 7th September 2019

Euro Betting

Serbia v Portugal Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 7th September 7.45pm

This is qualification action from Group B and neither of these have made the greatest of starts. Serbia starts in third place, two points and one place above Portugal. Because of their participation in the Nations League Finals though, Portugal have a game in hand. Read our Serbia v Portugal betting tips for more.

Serbia v Portugal Betting Odds*

Portugal 23/20
Draw 21/10
Serbia 13/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Serbia News and Form

The Serbians hold a W1 D1 L1 record from their three qualification games so far. They played out a good draw away in Portugal to open with. But then they collapsed heavily to a 5-0 loss in Ukraine, before setting that straight with a big home success over Lithuania. So it has been eventful for them. Serbia are W1 D2 L1 in their four games played since the end of the Nations League. Serbia posted an unbeaten W4 D2 record at the Nations League.

Serbia’s 4-1 win over Lithuania in their most recent European Championship qualifier snapped a three-match winless streak of form that they were on in such matches (D1 L2). Their overall form is pretty bad in European Championship qualifier matches. They have taken just three wins in their last thirteen such matches. They have gone W2 D1 L3 in their last six qualifying home matches.

Serbia v Portugal Head to Head

There was a 1-1 draw in the first group meeting
Portugal are W2 D3 L0 in the head to head with Serbia
Both teams have scored in all five previous meetings
All results have either been a 2-1 win for Portugal or a 1-1 draw

Portugal News and Form

Portugal won the Nations League and they have a guaranteed playoff place in the Euro 2020 qualifiers if they don’t make the top two in this group. They started with back-to-back draws against Ukraine and Serbia so will need to start picking up the pace a little bit from here. A loss here and that would leave them staring at a five-point deficit to Serbia with only one game in hand over them.

So that makes this a tough away game for Portugal. They are undefeated in all games now since losing to Uruguay at the World Cup last year. Since then they have gone W5 D5 in their ten fixtures. Portugal are on a four-match winning streak away from home in European Championship qualifiers with all four of the wins in that sequence coming by a one-goal margin. Four of Portugal’s last five games played have gone under 2.5 goals. Their next two qualifiers are on the road, they need to start picking up the points.

Serbia v Portugal Tips & Odds

Portugal to win outright at 23/20
Both teams to score NO at 4/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – Serbia v Portugal Predictions

Portugal are the more likely of the two to come away with a victory in this contest. It is not going to be an easy away game for them of course, but Serbia aren’t in terrific form and a narrow away win for the Portuguese looks sound.

Euro Betting

Slovakia v Croatia Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 6th September 7.45pm

This is action from Wales’ group in Euro 2020 qualifiers. Slovakia and Croatia are starting this contest level on points in the race for an automatic qualification spot. So there is huge importance riding on this fixture. One of them could gain a huge advantage here, while at the same time, making life difficult for Wales as well. Read our Slovakia v Croatia betting tips for more.

Slovakia v Croatia Betting Odds*

Croatia 21/20
Draw 21/10
Slovakia 3/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Slovakia News and Form

It is six points from three games that Slovakia have recorded. Slovakia got their group wins against Hungary and Azerbaijan, while their defeat happened in Wales. Slovakia didn’t have a good Nations League (W1 L3), but their form since then reads W3 L1 in their four played (competitive and friendly). So there has been a bit of an improvement in fortunes from them.

Slovakia have won their last two home games. They haven’t done too badly in recent home European Championship qualifying games. They are W4 D1 L1 in their last six such matches. In each of the wins posted in that sequence (including one over Spain), Slovakia scored at least two goals and they have three clean sheets in their last five home games. They are going to need a big defensive effort here and will know that avoiding defeat keep them well lint the qualification race.

Slovakia v Croatia Head to Head

Croatia are W2 D2 L1 against Slovakia
This is the first competitive meeting between the two nations
Slovakia won the first-ever meeting
Croatia’s two wins over Slovakia have been with clean sheets

Croatia News and Form

World Cup 2018 losing finalists Croatia have had a tough time building on that massive success that they had. The Nations League did not go well for them and they are in a big fight here to secure automatic qualification for Euro 2020. Like Slovakia, Croatia have taken six points from their three games played. This is a tricky away game then because of the pressure of the situation in it.

Since the end of the Nations League campaign, which ended with a 2-1 loss against England, Croatia are W2 L2. Their two wins were on home soil against Azerbaijan and Wales in these qualifiers. Their one away game in that sequence of matches happened out in Hungary, an unexpected 2-1 loss. Croatia do not have winning form away from home in qualifiers for the European Championships. They are W1 D2 L2 in their last five such away games, losing two of their last three.

Slovakia v Croatia Tips & Odds

Outright Draw at 11/5
Slovakia – Draw Double Chance at 8/11
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – Slovakia v Croatia Predictions

Given that Slovakia have been carrying a bit of home form and did get the better of Hungary on home soil in these qualifiers, this should be a tight game. There may be enough quality in the ranks of the home side to avoid defeat.

Euro Betting

Wales v Azerbaijan Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 6th September 7.45pm

Wales are going to have to up their game in the Euro 2020 qualifiers because it hasn’t been a profitable start by them. The Welsh have taken the one win from their three games played. They will get a chance to cash in with three more points as they face bottom side Azerbaijan on Friday. Read our Wales v Azerbaijan betting tips for more.

Wales v Azerbaijan Betting Odds*

Wales 1/4
Draw 17/4
Azerbaijan 12/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Wales News and Form

The Welsh have a W1 L2 record from their three qualifiers so far. They started with a good home win over Slovakia, but then back to back defeats against Croatia and Hungary have hurt them badly. Those were both defeats by a one-goal margin only. It leaves the current form of Wales at W2 L3 in their last five played (competitive and friendly). They simply can’t afford to drop points in this, which is on paper, their easiest game of the qualification process.

The positive is, is that Wales have won their last two home games, 1-0 wins over Trinidad and Tobago and Slovakia. Even better is their home record in European Championship qualifiers. Wales are on a big eight-match undefeated streak of home form in such matches, winning six of those eight. So that’s fantastic. They have conceded just one goal in total in their last eight home European Championship qualifiers as well.

Wales v Azerbaijan Head to Head

Wales are on a three-match winning streak against Azerbaijan
This is the first meeting since the 2010 World Cup qualifiers
Azerbaijan have scored in just one of their six previous games against Wales
Wales are W5 D1 L0 in the head to head

Azerbaijan News and Form

Azerbaijan are bottom of Group E in the qualifiers and have no points on the board. Across their three games played they have conceded a total of ten goals. They opened with a 2-1 loss at Croatia, not a bad result at all from them, but went on to lose home games against Hungary 3-1 and Slovakia 5-1 so it has gotten worse and worse for them. Azerbaijan are now D1 L4 in their last five games played, competitive and friendly.

They had been on a good six match undefeated streak of form before that, after putting together a good Nations League campaign (W3 D3), which wasn’t enough to see them win their group. Azerbaijan are winless in their last eight European Championship qualifiers (D3 L5), losing the last five on the trot. They are still looking for their first-ever win in a European Championship qualifier away match, having only avoided defeat four times on their travels since 1994.

Wales v Azerbaijan Tips & Odds

Wales to win to nil at 4/6
2-0 Wales Correct Score at 4/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – Wales v Azerbaijan Predictions

Wales quite simply have to take their chances on home soil in this one against a team who are currently out of form. The Dragons don’t look to have a great deal of scoring threat themselves but can collect three points in a low-scoring game. Wales to win to nil.

Scotland v Russia Prediction & Betting Tips, 6th September 2019

Euro Betting

Scotland v Russia Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 6th September 7.45pm

Scotland are under a bit of pressure in Group I of Euro 2020 qualification. A loss here and it would be a massive blow to their qualification hopes. They trail second placed Russia by three points having played the same number of games, that’s why. On the other side, Russia will see the potential of a big advantage opening up. Read our Scotland v Russia betting tips for more.

Scotland v Russia Betting Odds*

Russia 7/4
Scotland 19/10
Draw 9/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Scotland News and Form

Scotland have taken a W2 D2 record from their four games so far in the qualifiers. Things got off to a poor start for them with a disappointing 3-0 away defeat at Kazakhstan, before the Scots produced less than convincing back to back wins over San Marino and Cyprus. But then in another big away game, Scotland lost 3-0 in Belgium. So they haven’t lived up to the tougher challenges in the group and need a special night on Friday.

A win pulls them level with Russia and keeps their qualification hopes alive. Scotland did win their Nations League Group which gives them a guaranteed berth in the play-offs should they fail to get an automatic qualification spot from this group. That may well come into play. Scotland are W4 D1 L1 in their last six European Championship home qualifiers and they have scored at least two goals in each of their last four on home soil.

Scotland v Russia Head to Head

The previous meetings were in Euro ‘96 qualification
Both of those previous meetings ended in a draw
The one game in Scotland played out to a 1-1 draw
The meeting in Russia ended 0-0

Russia News and Form

Russia started their qualification campaign with a loss against Belgium. But have responded with three straight wins to put themselves in a strong position. The Russians have scored fourteen goals in their last three qualifiers. They are rock solid favourites to join Belgium as the automatic qualifiers from Group I. Three points out of this one would see them take a huge step towards the Finals.

The loss against Belgium at the start of this qualification campaign is the only game that Russia have failed to win in their last eight European Championship qualifiers. In their last seven match wins in European Championship qualifiers, Russia have conceded just one goal in total. Away from home in qualifiers Russia are W4 L1 in their last five, scoring at least two goals in each of those victories. They are carrying the form with them and even in their loss in Belgium they still got themselves on the scoresheet. Russia will carry a sizeable threat to Scotland in this game.

Scotland v Russia Tips & Odds

Russia to win at 7/4
Both teams to score YES at evens
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – Scotland v Russia Predictions

Russia look strong enough to go and raid Hampden Park. If that happens that would all but settle the qualification issues realistically (not mathematically), in Group I. Russia to win and both teams to score looks a reasonable proposition for the game.

Germany v Netherlands Prediction & Betting Tips, 6th September 2019

Euro Betting

Germany v Netherlands Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 6th September 7.45pm

Germany will be looking to make it four wins from four in Group C of Euro 2020 qualifying and they have already gotten the better of the Netherlands once. So this becomes a big game now for the Dutch who could see their chances of automatically qualifying for next summer’s tournament become a lot slimmer if they lose. Read our Germany v Netherlands betting tips for more.

Germany v Netherlands Betting Odds*

Germany 10/11
Netherlands 11/4
Draw 13/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Germany News and Form

After their World Cup 2018 and Nations League fixtures, Germany are on track to reach Euro 2020. They have won each of their three opening games of qualification, scoring thirteen goals in the process. Germany started their campaign with a 3-2 win in the Netherlands. That was a big statement from Die Mannschaft having taken just one point from their two games against the Dutch in the Nations League last year.

Germany are W4 D2 in their last six games (competitive and friendly). They are on a four match winning streak in European Championship qualifiers as well, having scored at least two goals in each of those four victories. If you dial into their home form in the European Championship qualifiers, then it makes for some impressive reading. They have won 11 of their last 13 home qualifiers (D2) and have suffered just one loss in such a fixtures since November 2016.

Germany v Netherlands Head to Head

Germany won 3-2 in the group’s first meeting
In last year’s Nations League the Dutch took four points against the Germans
Germany are W8 D11 L9 in the head to head against the Netherlands
Six of the last seven meetings have gone over 2.5 goals

Netherlands News and Form

The Netherlands are W1 L1 from their opening two games of qualification. They are playing catch up in fixtures because of their participation in the Nations League Finals, where they lost the final 1-0 to Portugal. It has been just a bit of patchy form creeping into their game recently. They are W2 D1 L2 in their last five played now. After failing to reach the World Cup 2018 that Nations League surprise group win was a huge lift for them.

They can’t afford to lose this game and have a nine point gap open between themselves and Germany as that would be a tremendous amount of ground for them to make up. The other problem for the Dutch in the group is Northern Ireland who won their opening four games. The Netherlands do though have a guaranteed place in the qualification play-offs if they can’t make the top two in Group C. That was their reward for topping their Nations League group.

Germany v Netherlands Tips & Odds

Germany to win & both teams to score at 5/2
Over 3.5 goals at 6/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 4th, 2019 at 3:52 a.m.)

Who will win – Germany v Netherlands Predictions

Germany will recognise the massive step towards qualification that they can take if they pick up three points at home against the Netherlands. We expect them to come out strongly and get the visitors under pressure. The Dutch haven’t quite been at it in their last few games. Home win, but both teams to score.

Norway v Malta Prediction & Betting Tips, 5th September 2019

Euro Betting

Norway v Malta Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 5th September 7.45pm

This is a big game for Norway because it could see them make some inroads towards the top two in Group F of Euro 2020 qualification. They will know that they have to deliver three points on home soil in this one. Malta have lost three of their four qualifiers so far. Read our Norway v Malta betting tips for more.

Norway v Malta Betting Odds*

Norway 1/16
Draw 16/1
Malta 33/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 3rd, 2019 at 5:15 p.m.)

Norway News and Form

This is a tough group for Norway. However, they did win their Nations League section, so are at least guaranteed a place in the Euro 2020 playoffs if they can’t make the top-two in this group. Four games into this Euro 2020 qualification campaign and Norway are W1 D2 L1 so far. After opening with a 2-1 loss against Spain, they played out back-to-back draws against Romania and Sweden.

Norway got their first win with a 2-0 success at the Faroe Islands in their last game. Norway have netted eight goals in their four games, at least two being scored in each of their last three. Their defence has struggled against the stronger teams though. Norway were on a six-match winless streak in European Championship qualifiers (D2 L4) before that win over the Faroe Islands. Norway are W3 D3 L1 in their last six qualifiers on home soil.

Norway v Malta Head to Head

This is the first meeting since the Euro 2016 qualifiers
Norway have won all five previous matches against Malta
Malta have scored one goal in their previous five fixtures against Norway

Malta News and Form

Malta started their qualification with three points. Those were earned from a 2-1 success over the Faroes Islands. It has been three straight defeats for them since then against Spain, Sweden and Romania. There has been no clean sheet from Malta in this campaign and they have shipped a total of 10 goals so far.

Malta are without an away win in any kind of fixtures since a shock 1-0 success in Ukraine back in 2017. They are D2 L8 on their travels in their last ten. Malta have never won a European Championship qualification away fixture. Ever. It may well be worth noting though that they have been scoring away from home. They have netted in three of their last four road games home and in four of their last six.

Norway v Malta Tips & Odds

Norway to win to nil at 1/5
3 Goal Winning Margin at 3/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 3rd, 2019 at 5:15 p.m.)

Who will win – Norway v Malta Predictions

We are going with a comfortable win for Norway and with a clean sheet as well. Malta have collected exactly three goals in three of their last four away games. Norway needs a good result here with some tougher matches coming up. They should get it.

Can Romania do themselves a huge favour and avoid defeat at the very least on home soil against them? Read our Romania v Spain betting tips for more.

Romania v Spain Betting Odds*

Spain 4/9
Draw 15/4
Romania 7/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 3rd, 2019 at 5:15 p.m.)

Romania News and Form

Romania are W2 D1 L1 in their Euro 2010 qualification campaign so far. They started with a damaging 2-1 loss against Sweden, damaging because they are in a big competitive fight with Sweden and Norway for qualification behind Spain. But to their credit, Romania responded well to beat the Faroe Islands and Malta, scoring four goals in each victory. Sandwiched between those wins was a 2-2 draw against Norway.

Romania are W3 D1 L1 in their last five internationals. They have some good undefeated home form in European Championships qualifiers going as well. Romania have not suffered a home loss in a European Championship qualification match since a 5-2 loss against Denmark back in 2003. That is a 19 match undefeated streak of form in such fixtures since then. You get the feeling that they would be delighted with a point out of this.

Romania v Spain Head to Head

There was a 0-0 draw in the most recent meeting in 2016
Spain are W1 D1 from their two previous competitive games against Romania
The overall head to head is even at one win each and three draws
Four of the five previous meetings have gone under 2.5 goals

Spain News and Form

It has been plain sailing from Spain in the qualification group so far. Four wins from four and just the two goals conceded. They did need a second-half penalty to win their opener against Norway 2-1 and from their tally of eleven goals in qualifications so far, three of them have been via the penalty spot. It is Alvaro Morata and Sergio Ramos who are their joint top scorers in qualification with three goals each.

Since losing back to back games against England and Croatia in the Nations League, Spain are on a five-match winning streak. The Spaniards are currently on a twelve match winning streak in European Championship qualifiers, earning a total of ten clean sheets in that sequence (two goals in total conceded). Spain are on a six-match winning streak in European Championship qualification away games.

Who will win – Romania v Spain Predictions

While Spain should come away with the win at the end of the day, we are going to lean towards this being a high-scoring game over 3.5 goals. Spain hasn’t been perfect defensively in this campaign so far, so the hosts can strike in defeat.

International Football Betting

Ireland v Switzerland Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 5th September 7.45pm

Ireland will pick up their Euro 2020 qualification campaign on Thursday night. They hold a strong position in Group D, sitting on top of the pile. They could make a sizable move towards locking down a top-two finish with a victory over the Swiss. Switzerland starts six points adrift of Ireland. Read our Ireland v Switzerland betting tips for more.

Ireland v Switzerland Betting Odds*

Switzerland 6/5
Draw 9/4
Ireland 14/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 3rd, 2019 at 5:15 p.m.)

Ireland News and Form

So it has been a good opening to the campaign from Ireland who are W3 D1 so far in the group. They had to come out and deliver too. They failed to win their Nations League group so don’t have the cushion of a playoff spot should they not reach the top two here. Their two nearest challengers, Denmark and Switzerland both have that safety net.

The only game that Ireland have failed to win in the group was in their 1-1 draw against Denmark. It does mean that the bulk of their easier games were out of the way early on, so the road is going to get tougher. But the chance to open up a nine-point lead over Switzerland (who have played two games less than the Irish) is a big advantage to try and strive towards.

The Irish are unbeaten in their last five internationals. They have conceded just one goal in that sequence of games. In European Championship qualifiers, Ireland are unbeaten in six, winning four of those. Ireland have won their last five European Championship qualification home matches, all without conceding and that includes wins over Germany as well as Bosnia & Herzegovina. Overall, Ireland are unbeaten in twelve home qualifiers.

Ireland v Switzerland Head to Head

Ireland took a 1-0 win over Switzerland in 2016 friendly
Switzerland are winless in three signs that Irish (D2 L1)
Both teams have scored in two of the last seven meetings only
Ireland are W8 D3 L5 in the overall head to head

Switzerland News and Form

Switzerland then are playing catch up. They have only played two qualifiers because they took a break for the UEFA Nations League Finals. The Swiss are W1 D1 in their opening two games of the European Championships 2020 qualifiers. They opened with a very good 2-0 away win in Georgia before playing out a crazy 3-3 draw with Denmark. If they win this game then it would leave their position looking much better.

They would draw to within three points of leaders Ireland with a game in hand over them. A loss and that could be a huge blow. Switzerland are W3 D1 in their last four European Championship qualifiers, conceding in just one of those. Their away form in such fixtures is a little patchy though. They are W4 L3 in their last seven European Championship away qualifiers, the losses happening in England, Slovenia in Wales. They did impress in Georgia in this group, they need to do the same in Dublin.

Ireland v Switzerland Tips & Odds

Draw match outright at 9/4
Under 1.5 goals at 6/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 3rd, 2019 at 5:15 p.m.)

Who will win – Ireland v Switzerland Predictions

Ireland are going to be under pressure from a good Switzerland side who did impress in Georgia. The Irish have to keep this tight and therefore it could be a low scoring game. A draw in the match outright is not a bad option to lean on. The hosts would favour that.

Russia News and Form

Russia produced a 9-0 win over San Marino on Saturday. That followed up on their 4-0 away win over Kazakhstan. Russia are sat on a W2 L1 record from their three qualification matches so far having opened with a 3-1 reverse in Belgium. Russia were on a three-match losing streak of form before their successes over Kazakhstan and San Marino. So that was a good lift that they took for themselves. They go into the next round of qualifiers level on six points with Scotland.

Across their last nine fixtures, Russia have won five and lost three and their notable form has come on home soil. Russia are W3 D1 in their last four home fixtures, not having conceded a single goal in any of their last three there. Going back to their goal scoring, Russia have scored 16 goals across their last four home games. Given the rest of the level of opposition in this group aside from Belgium, Russia will be expected to reach next summer’s finals.

Russia v Cyprus Head to Head

Russia took a 1-0 win over Cyprus in a 2003 friendly, their most recent meeting
It is a W6 D1 L0 record that Russia have over Cyprus
Cyprus have scored one goal only in their last five games against Russia
Russia won their last home fixture against Cyprus 4-0

Cyprus News and Form

Cyprus lost 2-1 in Scotland on Saturday. They looked to have secured a point in the 87th minute when Ioannis Kousoulos put them level. However, they could not hang onto their point as Scotland scored a winner just two minutes later. Cyprus opened their Euro 2020 qualification campaign with a 5-0 home success over San Marino. That is the only win that they have taken in their last seven games played now. They have lost three of their last four played.

Who will win – Russia v Cyprus Predictions

Russia are a tough side to get the better of on home soil, so it looks as if they should be easing their way to a relatively comfortable home success in this fixture. Cyprus are not likely to have the goals to match up to them and Russia to win to nil option looks a strong proposition.
