Just twice they have opened the scoring in an away game
Only Huesca have a worse away record in La Liga than Eibar currently
Barcelona should be able to collect a fairly comfortable home win in this one. They have a big head to head record against Eibar and current form. Backing Barcelona to win to nil will run with some appeal for Sunday’s game.

Eibar are enjoying a good season in the Spanish top flight heading into the weekend in 8th spot and only two points off the top six as well. This is a tough game for them though as Real Madrid have been in much better form lately as they have steadied themselves to look like a lock for a top-four finish.
Real Madrid 4/9, Draw 10/3, Eibar 5/1* (Betting Odds taken at 01:53 a.m. on March 8th, 2018)
Eibar have put together a pretty tidy season for themselves, really finding their feet since the middle of November. They have lost ten games in the league this season but just three of them have been since early November. They have won two of their last three on home soil and they were notable victories as well against Sevilla and Villarreal, both top six sides so those were a fantastic haul of points for them. Eibar are W7 D3 L4 for the season on home soil and it is their home scoring form which has really made them a threat. They have averaged 1.7 goals per game at home this season in La Liga. they have only taken the one clean sheet in their last eight home games though so both teams to score at Paddy Power could be a little bit of value at 4/7* (betting odds taken on March 8th, 2018 at 7:11 p.m.). Of the goals that they have conceded at home this season in the Spanish top flight, 73% of them have come in the first half of matches.
Real Madrid have won five of their last six league games but they did suffer a loss in their last road games which were out at Espanyol. Overall this season Los Merengues are W7 D4 L2 on their travels and they have struck at least two goals now in five of their last six league games away from home. So over 3.5 goals at Paddy Power could well be worth looking at for 6/5 odds* (betting odds taken on March 8th, 2018 at 7:11 p.m.). Real Madrid have managed a clean sheet in just 23% of their away games in the top flight this season. They have averaged two goals per game away from home and have actually been leading at half time in eight of their road games, so a Real Madrid/Real Madrid half time/ full-time option could be a solid option to look at. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are their joint top scorers away from home this season with four goals each. 31% of Real Madrid’s conceded goals this term have occurred after the 75th minute.
Real Madrid eased to a 3-0 win over Eibar at the Bernabeu back in October which was just the ninth game between the two clubs. From those previous nine meetings, Real Madrid are 7-0 ahead with the two drawn matches. They have gone W3 D1 in their four previous visits to Eibar, winning all three La Liga games there with one goal conceded only.
Real Madrid may still not look the best at the back, but they are handling things well at the moment. They are good enough to go and extend their good form in the league at the moment by edging their way past the hosts. It’s worth looking at both teams to score though.

Eibar have done alright on home soil and in they have taken home wins over Valencia and Sevilla in recent home games. So they probably won’t give the visiting Barcelona an easy time of things on the weekend when the Catalans come for a visit. Barcelona though will be defending their great unbeaten away form for the season in the Spanish top flight.
Barcelona 4/9, Draw 10/3, Eibar 6/1* (Betting Odds taken on February 12th, 2018 at 3:55 p.m.)
Eibar are having a pretty good season as they head into the weekend in seventh place in La Liga, and with a chance of climbing as high as fifth. That would involve them being the first side to beat Barcelona though in the league this season though to get up there. Eibar are on a four-match undefeated streak of form at the moment and they have lost just one of their last twelve games in La Liga with a superb W8 D3 L1 record in that sequence. That’s impressive considering they lost seven of their opening eleven games this season. They have taken home wins over Valencia and Sevilla in this positive run of form and they are averaging almost two goals per game on home soil. The only loss that they have suffered in this great stretch of form was a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid back in mid-January. They have taken only the one clean sheet in their last eight league games though but it all adds up to both teams to score at Bet365 not looking bad value at all at 4/5 odds* (Betting Odds taken on February 12th, 2018 at 3:55 p.m.)
Barcelona took a 6-1 home win over Eibar back in September and that took them to seven wins from seven previous matches and during that run of matches, Barcelona have taken five clean sheets. They have also scored at least four goals in each of their last four games against Eibar and have scored at least two in all seven in their previous games against them.
Barcelona have won their last two visits to Eibar by a 4-0 score lin. In the bet365 correct score market the shortest priced option is a Barcelona 2-0 at 13/2, however, a good Barcelona 3-1 at 10/1 isn’t without its appeal* (Betting Odds taken on February 12th, 2018 at 3:55 p.m.). Barcelona are still unbeaten for the league season but they have drawn their last two, getting held by neighbours Espanyol and then playing out a 0-0 draw at home against Getafe last weekend. That was the first time Barcelona had failed to score at home this term. Away from home, the Catalans have gone W9 D3 L0 for the season and they have scored in all twelve of those away fixtures. They have also averaged 2.4 goals per game on their travels and have conceded just the six goals with a clean sheet in 58% of their away games. Their top scorer away home this season is Luis Suarez as 10 of his 16 league goals have come out on the road.
This may not be the easiest afternoon for the league leaders. Barcelona will probably get a decent challenge in this one looking at Eibar’s form. Still, they can be back to get the job done or perhaps this weekend only by a one-goal margin as they will be looking ahead to Champions League action in the week.

After their duel with Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, Real Madrid gets back to business in Serie A with a winnable looking match at home against Eibar. After a sluggish start to the league season by their standards, Real Madrid have picked up the pace with three straight wins. Eibar have fallen out of form with just the one point in their last four games and face a tough afternoon. Real Madrid are 1/12 odds on at Bet Victor for the win, with the draw at 10/1 and Eibar at 22/1.
Real Madrid have a good chance to extend their winning form in La Liga on Sunday as they face up against lowly Eibar. Real Madrid only managed to win two of their first five league games this season but things are looking much better for them now with a three match winning streak. Defensively they have only picked up the two clean sheets all season and they are not running up high scoring games. So under 3.5 goals at Bet Victor for a price of 5/4 will have some appeal. Real Madrid have scored two goals exactly in each of their last three league games. At home this season in the Spanish top flight they have produced a W1 D2 L1 record only, but broke their duck with a 2-0 victory over Espanyol in their last home game.
In the Bet Victor correct score market, a Real Madrid 2-0 result is a price of 15/2 and that looks appealing as Eibar aren’t scoring much at all this season. Real Madrid had a tough workout in midweek against Spurs in the Champions League, having to fight back for a 1-1 draw. Cristiano Ronaldo is a 15/8 Bet Victor First Goalscorer favourite for the match. Real Madrid were frustrated to a 1-1 draw in this corresponding fixture from last season but they are unbeaten from eight previous matches against Eibar in all competitions, having won six of those games. They have a W3 D1 home record against Eibar, conceding just the one goal in that sequence. Real Madrid to win to nil at Bet Victor screams value at 4/5.
Eibar season hasn’t gone great, it’s fair to say. They have picked up just the seven points so far and snapped a three match losing streak last weekend with a 0-0 home draw against Deportivo. Their defence has taken a battering at times this season and they have conceded at least three goals in four of their eight league outings this season. They’ve conceded thirteen goals in their last four games alone. Going forward they have produced only the three goals this season in total. Away from home they have scored two and conceded twelve in four games in a W1 D0 L3 record. They are on a three match losing streak out on the road. Despite their own lack of scoring power, 75% of Eibar’s away games have gone over 2.5 goals.
Real Madrid to win: There’s next to no value in backing the home side to win this match so you are going to have to go shopping around. This should be a fairly comfortable afternoon for Real Madrid and they can go out and win this to nil even though clean sheets have been few and far between for them this season.

What do the Catalans have up their sleeve as they make a quick turnaround to take on Eibar? Barcelona have won all of their league matches so far this season but they were given a good test in a bottle away at Getafe on the weekend. Eibar have won half of their matches so far in La Liga, but they are, as expected, kicking off at the Nou Camp as pretty big underdogs here. They are actually 22/1 at William Hill to take the three points, with the draw at 19/2 and Barcelona at 1/7.
Barcelona are going along well at the top of La Liga then with four wins from four. They had to fight back from being behind 1-0 at half time against Getafe on the weekend, but they got the job done. That was the first goal that they have conceded this season in the Spanish top flight. Barcelona to win to nil at William Hill brings home a price of 5/6 which isn’t bad value at all. The Catalans have scored exactly two goals in three of their four league games this season and that can lead you over to the Correct Score market where a Barcelona 2-0 is a price of 15/2, with only a 3-0 result for them shortest priced at 13/2. They just played on Saturday, so this is a quick turnaround, which may keep the score down. They lost new signings Ousmane Dembele for a few weeks because of an injury picked up against Getafe and that’s a blow as the French international was just looking as if he was settling nicely.
Lionel Messi is the 2/1 outright first goalscorer favourite at William Hill for a price of 2/1 and it’s not as if they are short of firepower with Paco Alcacer and Luis Suarez around the 4/9 mark in the anytime goalscorer market. So Barcelona have won all six of their previous games against Eibar, but they have just the one clean sheet in three home games against them. Eibar have posted a W2 D2 record this season in the Spanish top flight and bounced back from back to back defeats with a 1-0 home win over Leganes on the weekend. They scored what was just their second goal all season in that as their other win was by a 1-0 scoreline as well this season. So at the moment, they aren’t likely to threat Barcelona too much you would think. Nothing wrong, one would think, of having a little flutter under 2.5 goals at a price of 3/1 because of that. The Catalans haven’t been running up big scores yet and will just look for a comfortable night on home soil in this one. Will the Blaugrana make it five from five in La Liga?
Barcelona to win: There have been just the six previous games between these two in the Spanish top flight and Barcelona have won all of them, scoring at least two goals in each of those victories. They had to work hard for three points on the weekend and this may be a little easier. A Barcelona 2-0 looks good value again.

It’s unlikely from here that Barcelona are going to win the league title as they have to still hope for Real Madrid to slip up on the final day of the season, which isn’t too likely to happen. Barcelona gets a good home game to finish off with as they face Eibar, who are in the top ten in La Liga, but who have fallen out of form. Barcelona are on a big winning streak of form and that’s not likely to let up. Barcelona ar 1/20 to take the win, with the draw at 12/1 and Eibar 25/1.

Barcelona will be hoping that there is one final twist left in the season. They have to win this game and hope that Real Madrid in turn, lose their final game. Barcelona have been running on some cracking form with a six-match winning streak going. Earlier in the season, Barcelona ran out 4-0 winners at Eibar and so there shouldn’t be anything to stop them winning this. Barcelona are on an eleven match winning streak in the league on home soil and they have scored at least three goals in each of their last seven on home soil. Barcelona’s home record this season reads W14 D3 L1 and they have averaged 3.3 goals per game at the Nou Camp. Over 4.5 goals is a 5/6 quote at Bet365 and Barca have won each of their five games against Eibar in La Liga, scoring 16 goals and conceding only just one.
Barcelona have totalled 112 goals in La Liga this season and they need three more to equal their best ever tally in the top flight in a single season. Lionel Messi has scored more goals against Eibar in La Liga than any other player (six goals in four clashes) and he is a quote of 21/10 in the First Goalscorer market. Messi is the top-scorer this season in the Big Five European Leagues alongside Edinson Cavani (35). Neymar has four goals in his last two league games and is a quote of 8/15 in the anytime goalscorer market. Barcelona have hosted Eibar just twice before in La Liga and they have scored exactly three goals in both of those. In the Bet365 correct score market, there is a 13/2 quote on a Barcelona 3-0 result.
Eibar starts the weekend up in the eighth spot in La Liga, but they have fallen out of form, having gone W1 D1 L4 in their last six played. That has seen their chances of pushing for a Europa League spot fall away dramatically. Still, the club have won 54 points in La Liga this season, 11 more than the last one (43) and 19 more than their first season in the competition (35 in 2014/15). Eibar manager Jose Luis Mendilibar has lost 12 of his 14 La Liga games as a manager against Barcelona (W1, D1), never leaving the Camp Nou with a point. They are not in great form out on the road having gone W2 D3 L3 in their last eight away games. They have failed to score five of their last six games played now and Barcelona to win to nil at Bet365 is a quote of 8/11.
Barcelona home win: This should all be routine enough for the home side in this one. They have to win and hope for a shock in Real Madrid’s game so it may not be a title-winning victory. But, there’s no reason as to why the Catalans can’t win this in style and a 3-0 correct score has some appeal.
