Bulgaria’s miserable campaign is almost at an end. A point will at least get them off the bottom of the table and they need to push for a win to try and reach the playoffs. They play host to the Czech Republic who passed a nervy test at home against Kosovo on Thursday to seal a place at Euro 2020. Read our Bulgaria vs the Czech Republic betting tips for more.
Czech Republic 3/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 14th, 2019 at 6:12 p.m.)
Bulgaria skipped competitive action on Thursday night, losing a home friendly against Paraguay. That was their sixth defeat in their last seven games now (competitive and friendly). Bulgaria have failed to hit the back of the net in any of their last three games played and have scored one in their last five. They have looked very poor and they are D3 L4 in this qualification campaign.
It has been just a total of five goals scored in their seven qualification matches. Bulgaria are winless in their last twelve fixtures, losing seven of those. Bulgaria have won only one of their last 12 European Championship home qualifiers. They have conceded a total of ten goals in their three home games in this qualification campaign.
The Czech Republic won the first group meeting 2-1
Bulgaria are winless in six previous games against the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic are W5 D1 in the overall head to head with Bulgaria
Both teams have scored in just two of the six previous meetings
The Czech Republic hosted Kosovo on Thursday night. They fell behind in the second half of the game and had they have lost, automatic qualification would have been out of their hands. But they showed character in turning the game around to get a 2-1 win. The three points send them through to Euro 2020. The Czech Republic has a W5 L2 record in this campaign and won all their home games.
Away from home, they did suffer losses in England and Kosovo. But nothing matters to them in this one. A defeat won’t hurt them. The Czech Republic have lost three of their last six European Championship away qualifiers. They have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four qualifiers out on the road. But still, they are facing a very poor Bulgaria side here.
Bulgaria have been shockingly poor in this campaign and there’s no reason to expect them to put in a big shift and collect a win in this one. The Czech Republic can relax and enjoy themselves and the away win his appeal.

This is one of the biggest games of Thursday night’s European Championship action. It is from Group A (England’s group). This is likely to end up being a battle for second place with the Czech Republic holding a one-point advantage over Kosovo. So while a draw leaves the hosts with an advantage, Kosovo really need to go and get that win. Read our Czech Republic vs Kosovo betting tips for more.
Czech Republic 4/6
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 11th, 2019 at 10:17 p.m.)
The Czech Republic gave themselves a huge lift last time out as they produce a fine performance to pull off an unexpected win over group leaders England. So that leaves them trailing England by three points and with a one-point advantage over Kosovo. It’s this game against Kosovo that they are going to be concerned about. A draw will leave everything hinging on the final round of action.
In their respective final games, the Czech Republic go to Bulgaria while Kosovo have a tougher match at home against England. So the Czech’s would probably be happy enough with a draw. They will want to avoid an upset. So far in this campaign, they have won all three home games, scoring at least two goals in each. They are W8 D1 L1 in their last ten European Championship home qualifiers. That suggests that they are likely going to handle this situation pretty well.
Kosovo took a 2-1 home win over the Czech Republic earlier in the group
That was the first-ever meeting between the two nations
Can Kosovo pull off the double over the Czech Republic? Even if they do, they would have some work to do in their final qualification game against England. But the need to get past this hurdle first. Kosovo have taken a W3 D2 L1 record in this group, the only reverse happening against England. Out on their travels, they have gone W1 D1 L1 in this group, scoring in all three of those fixtures.
They have scored exactly three goals in both of their last two on the road at Bulgaria and England. Kosovo’s defeat in England in October snapped a six-match unbeaten streak of form that they were away from home (all competitions and friendly fixtures). They have won four of their last five games played home and away (L1) and the defeat against England is their only loss in their last 18 international games.
The Czech Republic to win by a 1 goal margin at 5/1
Under 2.5 goals at 3/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 11th, 2019 at 10:17 p.m.)
What a big night this is going to be for someone. The Czech Republic looked good against England and that surely should have raised their spirits and belief. Kosovo are not an easy side to beat, so this should be tight but they may just fall short. The Czech Republic to win by a 1 goal margin.

Czech Republic 13/2
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on October 10th, 2019 at 6:52 p.m.)
Avoiding defeat this time around against England would give the Czech Republic a good position to push for qualification. They are in second place, three points behind leaders England, but only one ahead of Kosovo. The Czech Republic were blown away by England in the first group stage meeting, losing 5-0 at Wembley. But they did recover to win three of their next four matches.
Their other loss in the group happened against Kosovo away from home. Last time out the Czech Republic eased to a win in Montenegro. Their top scorer in this campaign is Patrick Schick who has tallied four goals. The Czech Republic are holding a good home record in European Championship qualification matches. They are W6 D1 L1 in their last eight such fixtures, Turkey being the only nation to win there in that sequence. The Czech’s have scored five goals in their last two home games.
England are W2 D1 in their previous three games against the Czech Republic
This will be the first meeting between the two in Prague
England have scored at least two goals in all previous games against the Czechs
The last two meetings have gone over 2.5 goals
Four easy wins from four for England sees them comfortably on the path to Euro 2020. They have tallied up 19 goals in their four games, but they have been far from convincing at the back. That is the one area in which Gareth Southgate will want to see an improved performance from his side. Raheem Sterling netted a hattrick in that 5-0 win England took against the Czech Republic in the first meeting.
England rarely finds themselves troubled in their away games during qualification matches They are on a six-match winning streak in European Championship qualification road games, scoring at least two goals in five of those six. The last time that they lost an away qualifier for the Euros was back in 2007 when they went down in Russia. England have not been beaten over 90 minutes in any of their last ten fixtures now. They will be expected to walk away with three points.
England should get themselves another win over the Czech Republic. A comfortable victory for England looks set and it’s worth backing both teams to score, just because England do look a little frail at the back.

This is action from England’s qualification group. Montenegro have only the two points on the board and qualification looked unlikely. The Czech Republic are struggling a little bit as well after suffering a shock defeat against Kosovo over the weekend. Read our Montenegro v Czech Republic betting tips for more.
Czech Republic 21/20
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on September 8th, 2019 at 2:53 p.m.)
Montenegro have been struggling for a bit of form. They have just one win in their last seven games played. That lone win was a friendly victory over Hungary in midweek. So they have been coming up a little short and with just two points on the board from four games of this qualification campaign, it’s not likely that they are going to be putting in an appearance at next summer’s Final.
Montenegro are winless in their last six European Championship qualification matches, and it is D2 L2 for them in this particular one. The two points they picked up were from 1-1 draws against Bulgaria and Kosovo. They have conceded at least three goals in three of their last five home fixtures in European Championship qualification.
This will be the fourth game between the two nations
The Czech Republic have won all three previous meetings to nil
The one previous meeting in Montenegro produced a 1-0 for the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic were seen as the biggest challenger to England in this qualification group. They are struggling to get there though, with a W2 L2 record from their four games. Their first loss was their heavy 5-0 defeat at England, then on the weekend, they were beaten at Kosovo. So they are having their troubles on the road.
The Czech Republic start the next round of action trailing second-placed Kosovo by two points. It has been three fates in their last five away qualifiers that the Czech Republic have suffered (W2). Each of their last seven road fixtures in European Championship qualification matches have gone over 2.5 goals. With Kosovo playing England the same day, there is a decent chance of the Czech Republic taking over second place.
There doesn’t seem to be too much quality that is going to show up in this game. The Czech Republic are the one who need the points more so than Montenegro do. It has to be the away win for us in what is likely to be a low scoring fixture.

This is action from England’s group so it is well worth taking a look at. The Czech Republic start in second place after picking up a 2-1 win over Bulgaria on Friday. They remain in some pretty patchy form though. Montenegro will be looking for their first win of qualification having taken just two points from their three games so far. Read our Czech Republic v Montenegro betting tips for more.
Czech Republic 4/7
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on June 9th, 2019 at 6:50 p.m.)
The Czech Republic recorded a 2-1 home win over Bulgaria on Friday snapping back to back defeats which they had suffered. They opened their Euro 2020 qualification campaign with 5-0 drubbing at Wembley against England. They stepped out against Brazil in a friendly and lost. So the win over Bulgaria will have eased some pressure off them. It leaves them with a W4 L5 record in their last nine games, going back to the Nations League at the start of December.
The Czech Republic have been struggling for goals a bit. Just twice in their last nine games have they managed to score more than one goal in a match. So that’s a bit of a problem for them. They are also now without a clean sheet in any of their last three. Back in the Nations League the Czech Republic finished sandwiched between Ukraine and Slovakia in their group, but they only went W1 L1 in their two home fixtures. They are W2 L2 in their last four home fixtures.
The Czech Republic won both previous meetings with Montenegro
That was in the Euro 2012 qualifiers
Montenegro failed to score in both of those previous
It is a five-match winless streak of from that Montenegro are currently one, having picked up just two points from that sequence of games. They have collected a win in two of their last nine games played now. They have actually been scoring consistently recently. Montenegro have only failed to score in one of their last six fixtures now, which was a 1-0 loss against Romania in the Nations League.
The trouble for them is that their last clean sheet happened back on September 10th in a 2-0 win over Lithuania. That’s a seven-match sequence without one now. Both teams have scored in five of their last six played. With them having three games under their belt already, more than any of the top three in the group have played at the moment, to keep their qualification hopes up they need a win here. That would move them two points clear of the Czech Republic at the end of this international break.
The draw has a little bit of appeal in the match outright in this one. The Czech’s are lacking something in attacking quality and therefore there is a chance that the visitors could stick in there. The draw in the match outright looks a decent proposition.

In the grander scheme of things, England should easily be locking down an automatic qualification spot at Euro 2020. Czech Republic 10/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on March 19th, 2019 at 3:50 p.m.)
England get one of their two toughest games in this Euro 2020 qualification group out of the way first of all. Things are looking positive for England at the moment on the back of their World Cup 2018 semi-final run and their group victory in the Nations League over Croatia and Spain. So there is plenty of optimism around the Three Lions at the moment. Boss Gareth Southgate called up more youth into the squad with Declan Rice and Callum Hudson-Odoi getting their first calls. England are undefeated in their last five games, winning four of those.
England have scored at least two goals in each of their last three international fixtures. They have banked a clean sheet in three of their last five as well. In their home games in the competitive Nations League fixtures, England suffered a 2-1 reverse against Spain before beating Croatia in their final group stage match at Wembley. England came from behind with goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane in the last 12 minutes to give them the win they needed to top the group. England have lost one of their last 18 home internationals. They also completed qualification campaigns for Euro 2016 and the World Cup 2018 with perfect home records.
The Czech Republic last met England back in a 2008 friendly and that game ended in a 2-2 draw. Their previous meeting had been a decade earlier with England winning 2-0 at home in a friendly. In last year’s Nations League the Czech Republic finish second in their group behind Ukraine. In their away games they suffered a defeat in Ukraine and earned a one-goal margin win in Slovakia. The Czech Republic have taken three wins in their last five, but the two wins over Slovakia were only by a one-goal margin. Each of their last three games played have produced a 1-0 scoreline, with the Czech Republic winning two of those. The Czech Republic did struggle during World Cup 2018 qualification away from home, only managing to take victories at Azerbaijan and San Marino.
England should be comfortable at home in this opener, even if it’s against their strongest group opponents. England are in great shape on home soil and are likely to get out with a clean sheet too. England to win to nil at 8/11* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on March 19th, 2019 at 3:50 p.m.)

Nations League B1 could all be settled in this one if Ukraine completes the double over the Czech Republic. That would give them the group win and at the same time, it would leave the Czech sweating in a relegation scrap with Slovakia. Read our Ukraine v Czech Republic betting tips for more.
Czech Republic 17/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on October 14th, 2018 at 5:28 p.m.)
Ukraine are in great form at the moment and they played out a 1-1 draw with Italy last Wednesday in preparation for this Nations League return. They have not suffered a loss since a defeat against Croatia in the World Cup qualifiers back in October last year. They are W5 D3 in eight games since then. They are two wins from two in the Nations League B1 group. That was back to back one goal margin wins for them. Ukraine to win by a one-goal margin in this one is at 12/5 odds* (betting odds taken on October 14th, 2018 at 7:11 pm).
It is a trend well worth considering. In five of the last six wins that Ukraine have recorded (friendly and competitive) they have scored at least two goals in. So they have been producing quite well and we are going to back this one to go over 2.5 goals as well just as the first meeting between the two did. Ukraine beat Slovakia 1-0 in their second Nations League game.
The Czech Republic are playing catch up then in this one. A win for them away from home would leave this interesting with them and Ukraine level on six points with one game each to play. The Czech Republic recovered from their defeat against Ukraine to post a narrow 2-1 win out at Slovakia in their second Nations League fixture. Sandwiched in between that was a 5-1 friendly defeat against Russia. Their win over Slovakia on the weekend sees them having posted a W7 L5 record in their last twelve games and it snapped a two-match losing streak.
So it’s not been too bad from them, but a lot of the games in that sequence were against sides they would expect to beat like China, Qatar and Australia so it’s a bit misleading. They don’t look all that sound defensively which is probably where they are going to fall down again in this one. Still, we are going to have a look at both teams to score at 11/10 odds* (betting odds taken on October 14th, 2018 at 7:11 pm) as they have netted in each of their last four games.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two nations. From the previous three, things are even with one win each and the one drawn match. Ukraine produced a 2-1 away win in the first meeting in this Nations League group. Those are their only goals against the Czech Republic.
We have to stick with Ukraine coming up with a victory in this one. They have been in great form for a long time now and having already taken a win over the Czech’s, they should complete the double back on home soil. Home win.

The Irish continued their fantastic progress in World Cup Qualifying on the weekend as they took a 3-0 win out in San Marino. That keeps them in second place in the group behind Germany, but more importantly, seven points ahead of third-place Czech Republic. This then is the big one for Northern Ireland as a draw in this one guarantees the Irish second place and therefore a place in the play offs. The Czech Republic suffered a home loss against Germany on the weekend. Northern Ireland are 6/4 for what would be a huge home win, with the draw at 12/5 and the Czech Republic 15/8.
Bet365’s 0-0 Bore Draw Insurance is available to take on all matches listed in their sportsbook. This is a big moment for Northern Ireland then. They will be guaranteed a top two finish as long as they avoid defeat in this one. It’s unlikely at the end of the day that they will catch Germany, who they still have to play, so more likely than not, it is the play-off spot that they can lock in. Considering that they do still have to face Germany, the Irish will want to get this qualification settled on Monday. So far at home in the group, Northern Ireland have beaten Norway, Azerbaijan and San Marino, scoring 10 unanswered goals in all of those matches. Defensively they have been great with just the two goals conceded and under 2.5 goals at bet365 is trading at a price of 8/15 as this should be a very close battle. Northern Ireland have faced the Czech Republic five times before and they have failed to beat them (D3 L2). Earlier in the group, the Irish hung on for a very good 0-0 draw against them and the last three meetings between these two nations have ended in that scoreline.
A 0-0 draw in the bet365 correct score market fetches a price of 11/2 with only the 1-1 draw at 5/1 shorter. So can Northern Ireland get their point? Naturally scoring against the likes of San Marin and Azerbaijan is easier than breaking down the Czech Republic. In the anytime goalscorer market, Kyle Lafferty is a 23/1 option with Conor Washington at 3/1. With their win over San Marino on Friday, Northern Ireland won four games on the bounce for the first time in their history. This is going to be a tough battle as they look to qualify for their second successive major tournament. They are aiming for their first World Cup Finals appearance since 1986. Both teams not to score at bet365 in this one is a price of 4/6.
The Czech Republic have to turn up and produce a win. That will make them dangerous. They played pretty well in a 2-1 home loss against Germany in their last game and will carry a threat. They have only posted a W2 D3 L2 record in the group and out on their travels, they have gone W1 D1 L1 with their only success coming at San Marino. So it hasn’t been great from them, but they can throw the kitchen sink at this one. They may as well because there is nothing to lose. Jan Limit and Michal Krmencik are joint 13/5 outright favourites in the bet365 anytime goalscorer market for this one. The Czech Republic have gone just W2 D2 L2 in their last six games, and are winless in their last three. This is the night where they need a big performance.
Draw: Northern Ireland have grit and the Czech Republic aren’t so fantastic that the home side can’t grind out that point they need. Think back to the defining qualification match they played out at home against Hungary before Euro 2016. The crowd can help them across the line.
3rd September 2017 / lee - Category: World Cup 2018 Betting
Germany are pretty much storming their way to Russia 2018 and they go into this one at the top of Group C, five points clear of second placed Northern Ireland. So they are coasting and this shouldn’t be too troublesome for them. The Czech Republic are in third place in the table but four points back of second place. So this could be a tough loss for them to swallow if they go down in this one. Germany are 8/15 favourites to win, with the draw at 17/5 and the Czech Republic a big 6/1 price.
Place a pre-match correct score, scorecast or half-time/full-time wager on a match and if the game ends goalless then Bet365 will refund lost stakes on the selected markets with a free bet through their great 0-0 bore draw insurance on matches. This applies to all matches in their sportsbook. Register an account with the award winning Bet365 and earn a 100% matched deposit bonus from them and enjoy top features like live sports streams, extensive live in play betting and partial cash out options on live bets.
In order to keep their qualification hopes alive, the Czech Republic really need to win this one. They are four points out of second place in the group and are struggling and this is a tough game for them. They have already lost 3-0 against Germany in the group so far and a defeat in this one would pretty much put them out of the qualification picture. In the bet365 correct score market a Germany 1-0 and a Germany 2-0 are joint 6/1 favourite options for them and the Czech’s aren’t being given much of a chance in this one. At home, so far in the group they have played out 0-0 draws with Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan and edged a 2-1 win over Norway. So it’s certainly not been prolific stuff from them they have scored just the nine goals in the group, six of those coming in a win over San Marino.
Germany to win to nil has to be a great price option at 6/4 with bet365 for the game.Germany are on cruise control with a perfect record after six qualification games. They have scored 27 goals so far in the group and have conceded just the one. It’s all too easy for them and they hold a five point advantage at the top over second placed Northern Ireland. Out on the road, they have taken wins at Azerbaijan, Norway and San Marino, scoring at least three goals in each of them. Over 2.5 goals at bet365 is a quote of 4/5 and not a bad option to go with. Thomas Muller is top scorer in the group with five goals in six games and he is a 6/5 option in the anytime goalscorer market, making him the joint favourite with Lars Stindl and Mario Gomez, with Timo Werner at even money. Germany won 2-1 on their last visit to the Czech Republic, which was in Euro 2008 qualification.
Germany to win: It’s hard not to back the Germans in this one. They have been scoring for fun for the most part along the way and eased to a 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic earlier in the group. It’s worth backing them to win to nil again in this one.

This will be a showdown between the top two in Group A of the U19 European Championships. Both won their opening fixtures by one-goal margins and the winner of this one can drive themselves forward to the semi finals of the competition. So a big game to come and it is Portugal who are trading as 10/11 favourites for the match win, with the draw at 23/10 and the Czech Republic at 13/5.
One of the top football betting products around is Bet365’s 0-0 Bore Draw Insurance which they offer on all matches listed in their sportsbook. The Czech Republic took a 2-1 win over Sweden in their opening match of the tournament, with Daniel Turyna netting a brace in the match and so he will be one to look out for in live in-play betting when the game gets underway. The Czech’s are underdogs for this one so this could be a good chance for them to do a bit of damage limitation and stick in there for a draw in the match as that would keep them well on track for a place in the semis. That’s because they face outsiders Georgia in their final group stage match. So this one may be a little bit cagey and under 2.5 goals at bet365 in the match is a quote of 8/11 and that looks to be value. Up in the bet365 correct score market the 1-1 draw option is going to have appeal also at 11/2.
Portugal took out Georgia in their opening match thanks to a second half penalty from Rui Pedro. That was if for Portugal who went down to ten men in the match as well with Gelson Fernandes picking up a second yellow card. The Portuguese were a little nervy in their Elite group qualification to get to the tournament. During that, they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Croatia. So there is a need for them to dig in a little bit because the Czech’s look a decent dark horse threat for the entire tournament and the Portuguese need to up their output a bit but they will have seen good resilience from the Czech Republic who repelled a late surge from Sweden in their opener. Both teams to score at bet365 in the match is a price of 4/6. This could be a tight match.
Netherlands 5/2, England 10/3, Germany 5/1, Czech Republic 6/1, Portugal 6/1, Sweden 14/1, Bulgaria 25/1, Georgia 33/1
Draw: The Czech Republic will know the importance of a draw in this one as they look for a place in the semi finals. Portugal don’t look a huge, huge threat at all and this one may just pan out for a draw.
