Draw 4/1
Atalanta 17/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November, 2019 at 4:23 p.m.)

Atalanta News and Form

Bigger things would have been expected of Atalanta. After their highest finish ever in Serie A last season, plus going so well again this term on the domestic front, they will not have expected to have found themselves without a point after three games of this campaign. Given that they are facing Man City again this week, that could easily be no points after four. Atalanta have conceded a total of 11 goals in their three group stage games.

In their one home game so far they suffered a 2-1 loss against Shakhtar Donetsk after having taken the lead in the game. They are now five European games without a victory. Atalanta’s dip in form has been a surprise because before Matchday One they had gone undefeated in seven European fixtures.

It has still been just four losses in their 17 however (W7 D6) but three of those have been in this campaign. Atalanta were undefeated in 12 European home games before losing to Shakhtar on Matchday Two. They won their one previous home game against an English side, beating Everton in the 2017 Europa League campaign.

Atalanta v Manchester City Head to Head

The Matchday THree meeting was the first game between the two clubs

Manchester City News and Form

The Citizens have made light work of this qualification campaign. They have so far, scored a total of 10 goals in their three games so far. That is now a total of 24 goals scored in their last seven UEFA Champions League games. Manchester City have only suffered one defeat in their last 12 games in the competitions (W10 D1) and in those dozen games, they have netted a total of 39 goals and have conceded 11.

The Citizens have taken a win in 11 of their last 18 European games, home and away combined (D1 L6). Away from home, they have taken a total of five wins in their last eight (D1 L2) and the last two defeats away from the Etihad have both happened in England. They haven’t lost since 2017 on the road in the Champions League. Manchester City have taken a W4 D4 L3 record against Italian opposition.

Atalanta v Manchester City Tips & Odds

Man City to win & both teams to score at 13/10
Over 3.5 goals at 8/11
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November 2019 at 4:23 p.m.)

Who will win – Atalanta v Manchester City Predictions

The Italians have surprisingly looked a bit out of their depth in this campaign. As they scored at the Etihad, it is worth having a look at them getting on the scoresheet again. Manchester City are well in control of their own destiny and can complete the double over Atalanta.

Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips, 6th November 2019

UEFA Champions League Betting

Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Champions League Preview, 6th November 8.00pm

This could well be the match that decides who will be joining Bayern Munich in qualifying from Group B of the Champions League. Spurs are sat in second place heading into Wednesday’s game, just a point ahead of Red Star. If Tottenham complete the double over the Serbians, they will be sitting pretty. Read our Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham betting tips for more.

Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Betting Odds*

Tottenham 4/6
Draw 31/10
Red Star Belgrade 15/4
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November, 2019 at 4:23 p.m.)

Red Star Belgrade News and Form

Red Star badly need a win in this one then to give them the boost that could really see them challenge Spurs for a qualification spot. Having been thumped 5-0 though in London on Matchday Three, that’s a task which is easier said than done. The Belgrade team did win their one home game in the group so far, a 3-1 success over Olympiakos. All three of their group stage games have gone over 2.5 goals.

Red Star started their campaign in the first qualifying round and there were some really tight ties that they came through. Including qualification, Red Star have won only four of their last 19 European fixtures (D8 L7). Their home form though is not all that bad because they have suffered just one defeat in their last 14 European games in Belgrade (W7 D5). It’s been just two defeats in their last 21 European home games (W11 D8). Red Star are W6 D2 L2 at home against English visitors, which includes a home success over Liverpool in last season’s group stage.

Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Head to Head

Tottenham News and Form

Spurs gave their qualification hopes a boost on Matchday Three with a 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade in London. That moved them on to four points, the other point in this campaign coming from a draw at Olympiakos on Matchday One. Squeezed in between those two matches was Tottenham’s harrowing 2-7 home defeat against Bayern Munich. All matches played in this group have made it over 2.5 goals.

In last season’s group, stage Spurs only had one point after three games, so they are much better off this time around. A win on Wednesday and they would be cruising towards the knockout stage. Tottenham have only taken one win in their last seven Champions League fixtures, however. So they have been struggling a bit with their form. They have taken just three wins in their 13 away group stage matches in the Champions League. Spurs have won only one of the last six. In their last 22 European away games, the Spurs have won just two (D8 L8).

Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Tips & Odds

Spurs to win & both teams to score at 9/4
Over 2.5 goals at 4/6
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November 2019 at 4:23 p.m.)

Who will win – Red Star Belgrade v Tottenham Predictions

Red Star are a tough side at home to take down in European action. Their record in Belgrade is very good. But Spurs beat them comfortably in London and we would expect them to get another win over the Serbians, but with both teams getting on the scoresheet this time.

UEFA Champions League Betting

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid Champions League Preview, 6th November 8.00pm

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are looking for their first points of this campaign, and they sit bottom of Group D. Atletico Madrid are locking horns with Atletico at the top of the group in the battle for the section win. Can the Spaniards pick up maximum points on their visit to Germany on Wednesday evening? Read our Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid betting tips for more.

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid Betting Odds*

Atletico Madrid 8/5
Draw 9/4
Bayer Leverkusen 9/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November, 2019 at 4:55 p.m.)

Bayer Leverkusen News and Form

It has been a fruitless campaign for Leverkusen so far. In their one home game, they suffered a 2-1 reverse against Lokomotiv Moscow back on Matchday One. They then suffered back to back defeats against Juventus and Atletico without getting on the scoresheet. In the last two rounds of the UEFA Champions League group stage, both teams have scored in just one of the four games played in Group D.

So Leverkusen need to come up with a win in this one to keep their already slim qualification hopes alive. This is the first time back for them in the UEFA Champions League since the 2016/17 campaign. In all but one of their last eight Champions League campaigns, Leverkusen have qualified for the knockouts. It probably won’t happen in this one. The Germans have taken one win in their last seven home games in the UCL (D4 L2). In their last 13 European home games, the Werkself have taken a W4 D7 L2 record.

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid Head to Head

Atletico won 4-2 on aggregate in the 2016/17 round of sixteen
In the 2014/15 round of sixteen Atletico won on penalties
In the 201011 Europa League group stage, both games were drawn 1-1

Atletico Madrid News and Form

Atletico Madrid have won their last two games in the group, following their opening draw against Juventus. The Spaniards took a 1-0 home win over Leverkusen on Matchday Three, which means that their two wins in this group have both been with a clean sheet. In last season’s group stage campaign, Atletico only managed to win one of their three away games (D1 L1) and their routine 2-0 win at Lokomotiv Moscow on Matchday Two in this campaign snapped their winless streak.

They still have to pay a visit to Juventus in this campaign. Atletico Madrid have only suffered three defeats in their last 12 European road games, winning four of those. Overall home and away they taken only three losses in their last 25 European fixtures (W16 D6) which has been a fantastic return. Their record in Germany is not as good though as they have lost all but one of their last five games there. The one game that they didn’t lose in that sequence of games in Germany was at Leverkusen in 2017.

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid Tips & Odds

Atletico to win at 8/5
Under 2.5 goals at 4/6
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on 5th November 2019 at 4:55 p.m.)

Who will win – Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid Predictions

Atletico Madrid generally handle themselves pretty well and this should be no exception. Their current record in Germany is not great, but they know they need to find a win to keep pace with Juventus. Atletico to win and under 2.5 goals.

Napoli v Salzburg Champions League Preview, 5th November 8.00pm

This is a game which Liverpool fans will want to keep an eye on. Napoli are the Group E leaders, holding a one-point advantage over the Reds in the standings. Napoli took a dramatic 3-2 win in Austria on Mmatchday Three, will they be able to complete the double over Salzburg? Read our Napoli v Salzburg betting tips for more.

Napoli v Salzburg Betting Odds*

Napoli 4/5
Draw 16/5
Salzburg 14/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Napoli News and Form

Napoli have had a mixed campaign so far. They opened with a great home success over Liverpool but then failed to follow it up with another three points when they visited Genk. With the Belgians the rank outsiders of the group, Napoli missed an opportunity as they were held to a 0-0 draw. Then Napoli produced a 3-2 win in Salzburg on Matchday Three to keep themselves at the top of the table with a point advantage over Liverpool.

Twice Napoli lost the lead in that game before a 73rd-minute strike from Lorenzo Insigne proved to be the winner. If they could complete the double of the Austrians, Napoli would be sitting very pretty in terms of qualification. Napoli have won six of their last seventeen Champions League games (D4 L7) in the competition proper, only. Five of those wins have happened on home soil, their win in Salzburg on Matchday three snapping an eight-match away streak in the competitions without a win. In last season’s competition, they remained unbeaten at home, taking seven points from their three games.

Napoli v Salzburg Head to Head

Last season Napoli and Salzburg met in the Europa League
Napoli won 3-0 at home and lost 3-1 away
The Italians won 3-2 in Austria on matchday three

Salzburg News and Form

Salzburg exploded into life on Matchday One as they took 6-2 win over Genk. Then they mounted a stunning comeback to rattle Liverpool at Anfield in their second group down. Salzburg had been 3-0 down at one stage, but only narrowly ended up losing 4-3. There was another high-scoring game for them with their 2-3 loss at home against Napoli. They had been on a 19 match unbeaten streak of European home form before that. Can they come up with a response? Erling Braut Haaland has been the star of the Salzburg show with six goals in the group already, including a hattrick.

While they have been potent in attack, they will be concerned about the goals which they are giving up. Their eleven goals tallied though is the second-highest in this season’s group stage, second only to Bayern Munich’s haul of 13. The Austrians are on a three-match losing streak away from home and were unbeaten in seven on the road in the Champions League before their loss at Anfield. Salzburg have taken 5 wins from their previous 17 games against Italian opposition. They have a W2 D1 L5 record in Italy.

Napoli v Salzburg Tips & Odds

Under 2.5 goals at 12/5
Napoli to win at 4/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Who will win – Napoli v Salzburg Predictions

Napoli’s win at Salzburg was impressive. They did throw away the lead twice, but kept plugging away and got their rewards. That was an important win and should have filled them with confidence. The Partenopei have beaten Liverpool in Naples already and are worth backing to get the job done against Salzburg too.

Dortmund v Inter Prediction & Betting Tips, 5th November 2019

Dortmund v Inter Champions League Preview, 5th November 8.00pm

With both clubs sat on four points, this is a huge fixture in the race for a top-two spot in Group F. Barcelona are expected to get one of the spots, so this is a key battle now between Dortmund and Milan. Will Dortmund be able to get some home revenge having lost 2-0 at the San Siro on Matchday Three? Read our Dortmund v Inter betting tips for more.

Dortmund v Inter Betting Odds*

Dortmund 21/20
Draw 5/2
Inter 13/5
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Dortmund News and Form

Dortmund need a recovery now having made a solid start to their campaign. They opened with a 0-0 draw at home against Barcelona, BVB crucially missing a late penalty. Following a 2-0 win out at Slavia Prague, the Bundesliga side will have been looking forward to their trip to Italy on Matchday Three to face Inter. However, they slipped to a 2-0 defeat and now that leaves them with some work to do as they sit level on points with the Milanese.

It is only two wins in their last eight Champions League matches now that Dortmund have taken (D2 L4). They have scored in just one of their last five played as well now. So they haven’t quite been on their game. The last time they hosted an Italian side was in 2018 when they lost 3-2 against Atalanta. They have suffered seven defeats in their 16 previous home games against Italian visitors (W6 D3).

Dortmund have lost three of their last five such matches. It has been just two home wins in their last eleven European home games now by BVB (D3 L5). They are under pressure to deliver one here. Dortmund are W6 D3 L6 in their 15 previous home games against Italian teams.

Dortmund v Inter Head to Head

Inter won 2-0 on Matchday Three
The Italians have won three of their last four against Dortmund (L1)
The last meeting in Dortmund was in 1994 which Inter won 3-1
Inter are W4 D1 L1 in the overall head to head with Dortmund

Inter News and Form

Inter had a disappointing start to the Champions League this season after they were held to a 1-1 home draw by underdogs Slavia Prague. Inter rescued themselves only with a late equaliser in that game. Things got a little worse after a 2-1 defeat at Barcelona leaving them under some pressure to produce the goods in their home game against Dortmund. Antonio Conte’s men did just that as they produced a superb 2-0 home win to put themselves level with the Germans on four points.

It has only been two wins that the Nerazzurri have taken in their last 13 European away games (D4 L7). They have suffered seven defeats in their last ten such matches. They have lost two of their last three visits to Germany (D1). In their last eight visits to Bundelisga opposition, Inter have won only once (D3 L4) which was a victory at Bayern Munich back in 2011. Before their Matchday Three win over Dortmund, Inter were on a six-match winless streak of form against Bundesliga opposition. This is a huge fixture for them.

Dortmund v Inter Tips & Odds

Draw at 5/2
1-1 correct score at 11/2
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Who will win – Dortmund v Inter Predictions

Neither side are really in much form when it comes to the Champions League and it’s hard to pick a winner. Inter will know the importance of just taking a draw in this fixture because that will leave them ahead of Dortmund in the head to head tiebreaker. Expect Conte’s men to stick in there and play for their precious point.

Liverpool v Genk Champions League Preview, 5th November 8.00pm

It has not been a campaign of performances pulled from the top drawer by Liverpool in this seasons Champions League group stage. Read our Liverpool v Genk betting tips for more.

Liverpool l1/12
Draw 10/1
Genk 25/1
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Liverpool News and Form

Liverpool eased to a 4-1 win in Belgium on Matchday three, and even though they are not top of Group E as they trail Napoli by a point, the Reds are well on course to make the knockout stages. After opening this campaign with a 2-0 loss in Naples, Liverpool responded with a stressful 4-3 home success over Salzburg before hitting their 4-1 win in Genk last time out. So the goals have been flowing for them. The Reds have a 100% success rate at home against Belgian teams.

In their one home game so far in the group against Salzburg, Liverpool were 3-0 up before the Austrians rattled them with a big fightback. Last season in their group stage campaign Liverpool won all three home games. They are now undefeated in their last 23 European home games (W17 D6) and they have conceded in just one of their last seven European fixtures at Anfield. Liverpool are on a six-match winning streak at home in group stage matches. Liverpool are W11 D2 L1 in the head to head with Belgium teams, holding a perfect six from six at Anfield in such matches.

Liverpool v Genk Head to Head

The Matchday Three encounter was the first meeting between the two clubs

Genk News and Form

Genk are still waiting for their first-ever Champions League proper victory. In the opening round of group stage action, Genk were torn apart in a 6-2 loss against Salzburg. Then after digging out a very good point in a 0-0 draw with Napoli, they suffered that big home defeat against Liverpool. Genk have conceded 14 goals in their last four European games (scoring four) despite that 0-0 draw with Napoli. They look to be a bit out of their depth.

The is the first season in which they actually qualified directly, having won their domestic title last season. They have lost each of their last five Champions League games out on the road, including qualification and are just W1 D3 L8 in all of their previous Champions League road games. In that sequence of 12 games, Genk have conceded 39 goals in total, scoring nine. Overall in all European away games Genk have taken a W6 D3 L3 record on the road. Their one previous visit to England ended in a 5-0 loss at Chelsea in 2011.

Liverpool v Genk Tips & Odds

Liverpool to win & over 4.5 goals at 5/4
Sadio Mane to score 2 goals or more at 15/8
* (Betting Odds were taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2019 at 6:53 p.m.)

Who will win – Liverpool v Genk Predictions

Because Sadio Mane is carrying Liverpool at the moment, and considering the Reds should win this easily, it’s worth backing Mane to get on the scoresheet a couple of times. It should be a comfortable night at home for the Reds as Genk look seriously short of quality to compete at this level.

The Blues did very well to take 1-0 win in Amsterdam which left them level on points with Ajax in the group. Substitute Michy Batshuayi got their goal four minutes from time, giving the Blues back to back away wins. In their one home game in the group so far, Chelsea lost against Valencia, which was their first European home loss in 12 fixtures (W7 D4).

Chelsea have scored at least three goals in five of their last 11 European matches and they are on a great run of form. The Blues have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions. They have struggled a little for home form however, winning just three of eight home fixtures in all competitions (D2 L3). After their win in Amsterdam on Matchday Three, Chelsea have won all three previous games against Dutch opposition.

Chelsea v Ajax Head to Head

The meeting on Matchday Three was the first meeting between the two clubs

Ajax News and Form

Ajax had come out of the gates firing with back to back high-scoring victories over Valencia and Lille. So their home stumble against the Blues was a little bit of an upset. Both wins that the Dutch side have taken in the group were by a 3-0 scoreline. This season’s Champions League campaign for Ajax started in the third qualifying round. Out on the road they drew at PAOK and APOEL in the qualifying rounds.

But they then thumped Valencia 3-0 in Spain on Matchday Two to pick up their road form. Ajax are currently on a three-match unbeaten streak of form in England, their most recent visit happening on a trip to Spurs last season in the semi-final, which Ajax won 1-0. Ajax are W2 D3 L1 in their last six visits to England. Overall from their 12 previous games in England, Ajax are only W3 D5 L4. They have taken a W2 D2 L1 in London specifically.

Lille News and Form

Lille suffered a home defeat against Chelsea on match day two, which leaves them struggling having lost on match day one 3-0 against Ajax. So they are in some early trouble. The French side are a better home team than they are out on the road, so the defeat against Chelsea was a little bit of an upset. They really need to get up to speed to try and qualify. This campaign is their first in seven seasons in the group stage and their home games look their best chance at getting rewards.

Lille however, are without a win in any of their last nine Champions League home games (not including qualifying). In their last appearance back in the 2012/13 season, Les Dogues suffered a defeat in all three home games. The last time they won a home game in Europe was 2012. They are D4 L6 on home soil since then. At home against Spanish visitors, Lille are W2 D3 L1. The one loss there was against Valencia in 2012. Valencia News and Form

Valencia started with a great away win at Chelsea on match day one, but they couldn’t build on that as they were beaten 3-0 by Ajax in their second game in the group. Their success at Chelsea snapped a five-match winless streak of Champions League away games for Valencia (D2 L3). It was only their fourth success in their last 11 road games in the competition (D3 L4). The Spaniards have come up with a total of only two goals in their last six away games in the Champions League.

In last season’s cam mapping they finished third behind Juventus and Man Utd. The last time that they went to France it ended in a 1-0 success for them at Lyon in the 2015/16 Champions League. Valencia has a good record in France of W5 D5 L2. They have suffered just the four defeats in their previous 24 fixtures against French opposition (W15 D5). Slavia Prague News and Form

This is such a tough group for Slavia Prague. They did almost get three points against Inter but conceded late on to settle for a 1-1 draw on match day one. Their loss happened at home against Borussia Dortmund by a 2-0 scoreline. Slavia Prague are the champions of the Czech Republic and came through the qualification campaign for just the second time ever to reach the group stage. Their one previous appearance in the group stage was 12 years ago and they finished third.

They started this campaign in the playoff round, taking 1-0 wins in both legs against CFR Cluj. Before those victories, Slavia Prague had won just one of their previous 15 games in the Champions League (D7 L7). They took one point on the road in their previous group stage campaign. They have a little bit of home form, losing just two of their last nine at home in Europe (W4 D3). They have taken two wins in 12 previous games against Spanish opposition.

Slavia Prague v Barcelona Head to Head

This is the first-ever meeting between the two clubs

Barcelona News and Form

Barcelona claimed a 2-1 win over Inter last time out, which followed up on their 0-0 draw at Dortmund. They haven’t been anywhere near their best at all. Their away form in Europe is not good at all. They have taken only the four wins in their last 14 away games in Europe (D6 L4). Barcelona were very lucky to avoid defeat at Dortmund on match day one, as the Germans missed a penalty. The Catalans are on a four-match winning streak against Czech opponents though, which is great.

Barcelona scored 13 goals in those four games, conceding just the one. From their 12 previous games against Czech opposition, Barcelona have lost just twice and both of those losses were away from home. Their overall record in Prague is W3 D1 L1. Barcelona were unbeaten in 11 away games in the Champions League before their loss at Liverpool last season (W8 D3). Benfica needs to step things up because a loss here will cut them adrift badly. Their defeats in the group happened at home against Leipzig and then out at Zenit. It leaves the Portuguese side with only two wins in their last 15 Champions League games (not including qualifying) and that is a W2 D1 L12 record overall in that sequence. That’s poor. They have actually lost 14 of their last 25 European games, home and away combined.

Just once in their last 18 European games have Benfica managed to score more than one goal in a game. The Eagles have suffered just the two losses in their last nine European home games though (W4 D3) which is more of a positive. They are also on a five-match home winning streak against French clubs and will be defending a 14 match unbeaten record on home soil against Ligue 1 victors. Home and away, Benfica have a W7 D2 L2 record in their last eleven against French opponents.

Lyon News and Form

An unbeaten start for Lyon, who are under new management this season, has been a decent way to kick things off. Brazilian Sylvinho was given the boot in early October and Rudi Garcia took over on the 14th. On match day one Lyon claimed a draw against Zenit thanks to a penalty kick from Memphis Depay, while the former Manchester United forward was on target again to help Lyon win 2-0 at Leipzig.

In last season’s group stage, Les Gones claimed an unbeaten W1 D5 record. They are a tough side to beat and the numbers back that up. They have only suffered two losses in their last 14 European fixtures (W5 D7). Lyon have suffered only two defeats in their last ten on the road. They last went to Portugal in the 2013/14 Europa League winning 2-1 at Vitoria SC. They are W2 D1 L3 in Portugal overall.

Who will win – Benfica v Lyon Predictions

Sometimes it comes down to teams happy not to come away empty-handed in European away nights. This looks like one of those for Lyon. A draw out on the road in Portugal would leave Les Gones still in a good position. They are good enough to hold out against a poor Benfica team.
