Spain v England UEFA Nations League Preview, 15th October 7.45pm
Spain eased their way to a friendly win over Wales on Thursday night as a warm-up for this big clash with England. After getting the better of the English anyway in the group already, they are well on course for the group win. England have to come up with some kind of response in this one to keep a challenge to the Spaniards going. Read our Spain v England betting tips for more.

Spain News and Form
Spain made pretty light work of a friendly against Wales in midweek. They also did the same in their two UEFA Nations League matches so far, beating both England and Croatia. They first took down England 2-1 at Wembley before running riot in a 6-0 win over World Cup runners-up Croatia.
So that is not only a big points lead that they have at the top of League A4 but they have a massive goal difference advantage as well, so the group is pretty much as good as won. They can seal the deal here and Spain to win to nil may appeal at 2/1 odds* (betting odds taken on October 12th, 2018 at 9:45 pm).
Spain are on a three-match winning streak now then with twelve goals in that sequence and just two against. Pretty impressive all around and still they are undefeated since losing to Italy at Euro 2016. That’s some run of form. Spain are undefeated in their last 38 competitions home games, winning all but four of those.
Paco Alcacer looks a pretty strong option in the anytime goalscorer market at 8/5 odds* (betting odds taken on October 12th, 2018 at 9:45 pm) after getting a brace against Wales in midweek. Alcacer has nine goals in five games this season for club and country. A point basically is going to be enough to secure them the group win and they are looking a strong prospect to go and win the Nations League outright.
England News and Form
England picked up a 0-0 draw out in Croatia on Friday night, a game in which supporters were banned from the ground. So with weird atmosphere, a dreadful first half, England missed some great chances in the second half to collect three points, Marcus Rashford missing a couple of golden opportunities.
England hit the post, the bar and had a goal ruled out for offside as well. So they had chances as boss Gareth Southgate switched the formation to a flat back four. An efficient Spain 1-0 correct score option is at 6/1 odds* (betting odds taken on October 12th, 2018 at 9:45 pm).
The result against Croatia leaves England lacking in recent wins though and still with them trying to get results against quality teams. England are now W2 D2 L2 in their last six games. So not a great deal to write home about.
With them having failed to score in their last four trips to Spain, both teams NOT to score massively appeals at 5/6 odds* (betting odds taken on October 12th, 2018 at 9:45 pm). That’s two goals in their last four games now only for the Three Lions. It’s not quite clicking. England have just two wins (90 minutes) in their last eight games now (D3 L3).
Spain v England Head to Head
England suffered a 1-2 loss at home Spain in the first Nations League meeting. That leaves them on a three-match winless streak against Spain and with just one win in their last seven against the Spaniards (D1 L5). Both teams have scored in just two of the last ten meetings between the two nations.
Who will win – Spain v England Predictions
Spain have looked a totally refreshed and renewed beast since the World Cup. The goals are flowing for them and having won at Wembley already, that gives them a good leg up. England still have some catching up to do at this level.
