Manchester United v West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips – 13th August 201712th August 2017 / lee
Manchester United v West Ham Premier League, 13th August 4.00pm
The Red Devils haven’t had the easiest of times at home recently against West Ham, having won just one of their last four at Old Trafford against the Irons. But with Romelu Lukaku now in their ranks and with the Belgian having a great scoring record against the Hammers, nothing less than three points will be good enough for them. The Hammers though have boosted their attacking depth over the summer and could be competitive. Manchester United are 3/10 for the win, with the draw at 19/4 and West Ham at a huge 11/1 price.

Manchester United v West Ham Betting Tips
Manchester United have added a couple of important pieces to their ranks over the summer. Not only did they bring in the goalscoring threat of Romelu Lukaku, but they added Premier League winner Nemanja Matic from Chelsea too, which was a strange sale from the reining champions to a rival. Anyway, Romelu Lukaku is going to be expected to bring the goals for United and he has scoring form against West Ham. Lukaku has scored seven goals in ten appearances against West Ham before. The Belgian is a price of 11/4 in the Ladbrokes First Goalscorer market and he will have plenty of backing in that market. United though have had their struggles in beating West Ham at Old Trafford recently.
United have gone W1 D3 in their last four on home soil against the Hammers and the last two in the Premier League between them there have ended in a draw. In the correct score market at Ladbrokes, a 1-1 draw is a price of 10/1 while the shortest priced option to consider is a Man Utd 2-0 at 11/2. Manchester United’s recent head to head record against West Ham in all competitions home and away reads W3 D4 L1. Manchester United have won their last two opening fixtures of a new season, beating Bournemouth last season and Tottenham the season before that. At the start of the 2014/15 season, they suffered a shock home loss against Swansea in their opener.
West Ham have brought in former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez and have added Marko Arnautovic from Stoke as well. Two different styles of players which add good versatility to the Hammers. It wasn’t a great season from West Ham last term at all, but they got themselves safe with improved form down the back stretch, but they will be hoping for a lot better this time around. Both teams to score at Ladbrokes is a price of 11/10 which has some appeal. The Hammers should have their moments going forward in this one and both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings. The Hammers went W5 D5 L9 away from home last season.
Who will win – Manchester United v West Ham Predictions
Manchester United to win: The Red Devils may have some troubling moments against West Ham who will likely turn up and compete hard, especially in the early stages, but you would still have to lean on the quality that the home side have to get the win on the board. They only lost once on home soil last term remember. Not much value in United outright, so look for Lukaku to open the scoring too.
