Manchester United v Hull EFL Cup, 10th January 8.00pm
It is semi final time in the EFL Cup this week as the first legs go off in midweek. It starts at Old Trafford where Manchester United are firm favourites to make their way through to the Wembley showcase. Hull have found some escape from their Premier League woes in the cup this season, but they don’t have the form against Manchester United at to suggest that they are going to have a comfortable time in the first leg. The Tigers have already fallen to defeat against the Red Devils in the Premier League this season, will they find themselves behind in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi? Manchester United are 2/11 for the win, with the draw at 7/1 and Hull are at a massive 18/1 poke.

Manchester United v Hull Betting Tips
So it is down to the final four and Manchester United will be pretty happy with the draw that they have gotten. The winner of this tie will go on to face either Southampton or Liverpool in the final. Back at the end of August, United went to Hull and despite dominating the game, they only managed to land a 1-0 win thanks to a 90th minute winner from Marcus Rashford. Still, it kept up their long unbeaten streak against the Tigers and the Red Devils are unbeaten in their last twelve games against the Tigers in all competitions since a 2-0 loss back in the 1974 old Division 2. Manchester United to win to nil at Coral is a price of 4/6 with big appeal for punters as United haven’t conceded in any of their last three against Hull and have clean sheets in four of their last six against them.
With Hull being a side who struggle for goals, there are good options in the correct score market where a Manchester United 2-0 correct score at Coral is a quote of 9/2. Mourinho’s men are now unbeaten in their last fourteen games in all competitions and they have won their last eight on the bounce, including a cruise to a 4-0 win over Championship side Reading in the FA Cup on the weekend. That was only their second clean sheet in their last six games at Old Trafford though. Both teams to score in this one is a price of 11/8 because Hull don’t raise too much of a threat. Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were both rested from FA Cup duty on the weekend and Zlatan is trading at a price of 5/2 in the First Goalscorer market, with Rashford at 10/3 and Wayne Rooney at 7/2.
So can Hull raise a massive effort here and have something to play for in the second leg back at the KCom? New boss Marco Silva has a tough job on his hands here but he saw his club take an FA Cup win over Swansea on the weekend. That was a much needed boost for them and perhaps they have the special Cup touch this season. That win over the Swans snapped a ten match winless streak across all competitions that they were on. The Tigers had survived a penalty shoot out against Newcastle in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup. Their back line has pretty much been depleted for this one which will put them at big risk. Abel Hernandez is a 9/2 anytime goalscorer option for them but they aren’t travelling well. They have lost their last six away games on the bounce and have a W1 L8 record in their last nine away from the KCom. Three of the four wins that they have recorded all season though away from home have all been in the EFL Cup (at Exeter, Stoke and Bristol City).
Who will win – Manchester United v Hull Predictions
Hull have bigger concerns in the league of course, but they have scrapped and battled their way to the final four of the EFL Cup. Their journey may well hit a brick wall in this one, because the Red Devils will take this seriously and with their winning form and defensive stability are likely going to be too much for the Tigers to handle. A nice Manchester United 2-0 correct score is appealing at a price of 9/2.
