Manchester City v Stoke Premier League, 14th October 3.00pm

Will the City machine keep rolling on? They took an important win just before the international break in beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to keep themselves top of the table. They have been in such sparkling form that punters will be backing them as a banker this weekend at home against the Potters. Stoke have had their moments this season but they have been really poor out on the road with nothing much to show from their travels. Manchester City are 1/6 odds on at Paddy Power for the win, with the draw at 6/1 and Stoke at 14/1.

Manchester City v Stoke Betting Tips

Manchester City have made light work of anyone who has come up against them in recent matches in the top flight. Just before the international break, they laid down a great marker by taking a 1-0 win at reigning champions Chelsea. That was a big statement by a team in form and now City have won their last five Premier League matches on the bounce and they have won the last four all with a clean sheet as well. Manchester City to win to nil at Paddy Power in this one is going to have appeal at 10/11. It is back to the Etihad for them this week and they have won their last two home fixtures by an aggregate of 10-0 and that spells some bad news probably for Stoke. Manchester City will, of course, be without Sergio Aguero still, but that shouldn’t slow them up in this home game.

Last Six Premier League Head to Head

Man City 0 – 0 Stoke
Stoke 1 – 4 Man City
Man City 4 – 0 Stoke
Stoke 2 – 0 Man City
Stoke 1 -4 Man City
Man City 0 – 1 Stoke

Leading the way in the Paddy Power first goalscorer market is Gabriel Jesus at a price of 9/4 and City also have Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane both in good form as well and they are 6/5 and 4/5 respectively in the anytime goalscorer market for the game. You are looking at a price of 8/11 on this one going over 3.5 goals and the Citizens have scored exactly four goals in each of their last three league wins over Stoke. A Manchester City 4-1 correct score option is a price of 14/1 while a 4-0 for them is in at a shorter price of 9/1. Either way, City should win this game, even with an eye on the Champions League in midweek. The Citizens are on an eight match winning streak in all competitions and they have shipped just the one goal in their last seven.

The Potters are down in the bottom half of the table and that is because their away form hasn’t backed up what they have done at home. They have gone D1 L2 out on their travels in the top flight this season only. The Potters have lost at Everton and Newcastle while they scrapped out a lucky late draw at the Hawthorns against West Brom after a defensive mistake by the Baggies. They have had bright moments this season, notably beating Arsenal and holding Manchester United to a draw, but that was on home soil. They have scored just the two away goals this season and are lacking a decent scoring touch and it looks unlikely that they are going to be able to threaten too much in this one. They aren’t going to see a lot of the ball.

Former England man Peter Crouch scored in a 2-1 home win over Southampton before the international break to set a record for the most headed goals in the Premier League. You are looking at a price of 19/20 at on both teams to score in this one which doesn’t look likely given the form of the Citizens. There is 4/5 at Paddy Power on both teams NOT to score. Stoke have netted just one goal in total in their last four visits to the Etihad as well. With them recently losing against Chelsea 4-0 recently at home, you have to imagine that they will be in for a rough afternoon in this one. They have just the one clean sheet for the season and last season they conceded exactly four goals on the road at three of the top four.

Who will win – Manchester City v Stoke Predictions

Man City to win: This should be a bit of a foregone conclusion then. City have the depth and talent in their squad to really put Stoke to the sword in this one with the Potters having already lost 4-0 against Chelsea this season. Another big, comfortable win could be happening for City and a Man City/Man City half time/full time bet looks value.
