Leicester vs Arsenal Premier League Preview, 9th November 5.30 pm
Leicester are on a three-match winning streak and could move back up into second place at the end of Saturday if they can collect three points at the King Power against Arsenal. Leicester News and Form
The Foxes took a 2-0 away win at Crystal Palace last weekend. Considering that in their previous game they had hit a huge high of smashing Southampton 9-0, there was a reasonable chance that Leicester may have been a little complacent. Not so from Brendan Rodgers’ men though as they took a clean sheet victory at Selhurst Park
That was Leicester’s third league win in a row, their fifth in their last six played. Leicester have banked a clean sheet in three of their last four league wins and are looking in very good shape. Their home form is right on the money as well. The Foxes are W4 D1 at the King Power this season, winning their last four here. Leicester have scored at least two goals in each of their last four at home.
The Foxes are averaging 2.5 goals per home game this season, having only conceded three in their five home fixtures (two clean sheets). Four of Leicester’s seven league victories this season have been by a margin of at least two goals. Home and away they are on a six-match scoring streak. 75% of the goals that they conceded this season have been in the first half of games. Leicester have only opened the scoring in 2 of their 5 home games.
Leicester vs Arsenal Head to Head
The two traded home wins last season
Six of the last seven league meetings have produced a home win (D1)
Each of the last four league meetings have gone over 2.5 goals
Leicester have conceded one goal in their last three home games against the Gunners
Arsenal News and Form
Arsenal have not managed to land any consistency this season in the top flight. They have taken just the two wins in their last nine games played (D5 L2) and that is well below their expected standards. Their one win out on the road in the top flight this season happened on the opening weekend of the season. They are D2 L2 on their travels since then.
The Gunners suffered a 1-0 loss at Sheffield United in their last road game and have picked up just the one clean sheet in their last ten league fixtures. Despite their wealth of scoring power, Arsenal have only averaged a goal per away game in this campaign. They have been losing at the half time break in three of their five road fixtures.
All four of the league wins that Arsenal have collected this season (home and away combined) have been by one goal margin. Just once in their last five games played have they managed to score more than one goal in a league fixture. Defender David Luiz has scored half of Arsenal’s last four league goals. The Gunners have only won two of their last eight Premier League away games.
Leicester vs Arsenal Tips & Odds
Who will win – Leicester vs Arsenal Predictions
There are clear defensive frailties in the Arsenal back line and at the moment, Leicester are looking confident and bullish enough to go and expose those weaknesses. There is plenty of appeal in back in the home win in this game.
