Leicester v Sheffield United FA Cup, 16th February 7.45pm

Leicester have made steady progress through the FA Cup this season and will be pleased with another decent draw for themselves. They go off at the King Power against a Sheffield United side who have been out of sorts for a while. The Foxes are looking like stealthy dark horses to make a run at the FA Cup this season.

Leicester v Sheffield United FA Cup Betting Tips

After a chastening afternoon last weekend in a heavy Premier League loss to Man City, Leicester turn their attention to the FA Cup. The Foxes have lost just two of their last nine games now in all competitions, but those two defeats have happened inside their last three games played, leaving them winless in three. Leicester do continue to score consistently though has they are on a six-match scoring steak and there could be enough in this to back over 2.5 goals at Bet365. Leicester’s home form s pretty solid with an unbeaten six match sequence going at the King Power and they have scored at least two goals in four of their last five games there. A Leicester 2-1 option is at 7/1 odds with bet365* (Betting Odds taken on February 11th, 2018 at 4:56 p.m.). Leicester’s home record all season is a W9 D4 L4 and in their one FA Cup home game so far this season, they took out League One side Fleetwood in a replay. Leicester do have three clean sheets in their last four home games but overall in their last four games home and away combined, they are without one.

Leicester and Sheffield United met in this season’s EFL Cup and the Foxes took a comfortable 4-1 away win at Bramall Lane. The Foxes are unbeaten in their last four against the Blades now and are unbeaten in their last two at the King Power against them. From previous FA Cup games, it is United who are 3-2 up with two drawn matches. This is the first FA Cup tie between them since a 3-0 home win for the Foxes in 1976.

Sheffield United were looking a hot ticket for promotion to the Premier League from the Championship this season, but they have been struggling for form since the end of October. The Blades took a great win for themselves though in the Yorkshire derby against Leeds on the weekend, banking a 2-1 home win. Sheffield United are W4 D1 L2 in their last seven games and two of the wins in that sequence were in the FA Cup. Both victories, over Ipswich and then Preston are by a 1-0 scoreline. The Blades have collected just one clean sheet in their last five games so they are going to be at risk in this one. They have only lost one of their last five away games (W2 D2) but they have kept just the one clean sheet in those away games in all competitions. A both teams to score bet at bet365 is at 10/11 odds* (Betting Odds taken on February 11th, 2018 at 4:56 p.m.)

Who will win – Leicester v Sheffield United FA Cup Predictions

Leicester should have enough quality to get the home win in the bag in this one. Sheffield United’s season has really gone off the boil and the Foxes have the touches of quality about them to open up what has been a shaky Blades defence. Home win.
