Israel vs Poland Euro 2020 Qualifiers Preview, 16th November 7.45pm

There is an outside chance that Israel could yet make it Euro 2020. To take a step towards pulling that off, they are going to need to win when they play host to Poland on the weekend. That, of course, is not going to be an easy thing having lost heavily to them already. Poland have done enough to secure a place at Euro 2020. Read our Israel vs Poland betting tips for more.

Israel News and Form

Israel are starting the weekend action five points outside of the top two. So their fate isn’t in their hands entirely. They need to better whatever it is that second-placed Austria come up with at home against Macedonia on the same day, to stay alive in this campaign. Israel have taken a W2 L2 record on home soil in this campaign, one of those wins competing against Austria and the other against Latvia.

A 3-1 victory over Latvia in their last qualifier snapped a run of just one point from four qualifiers that Israel had been on. In each of the three defeats in that sequence, Israel conceded at least three goals. Six of their last seven competitive games have gone over 2.5 goals. Israel have only lost one of their last six European Championship home qualifiers (W3 D2) so that may give them a bit of hope. It’s a narrow window of opportunity for them, however, especially after losing 4-0 against Poland earlier in the campaign.

Israel vs Poland Head to Head

Poland won 4-0 in the first group meeting in this campaign
That was just the second game between the two nations
Poland have won both previous meetings
Israel have conceded 7 goals in their two games against Poland

Poland News and Form

Poland are across the line, so they may not be totally dialled in for their trip to Jerusalem. On the flip side of that, they may be all relaxed and be on top of their game. Poland have won six of their eight qualification games (D1 L1) and have only conceded twice in the process. The only team to have brought them down was Slovenia who claimed a 2-0 home success over them. So it has been a total of seven clean sheets in eight from Poland.

Poland has suffered one defeat in 2019, picking up a W6 D1 L1 record in that sequence of matches. They do have form behind them in European Championship away qualifiers as they have won three of their last four (the reverse in Slovenia being the exception). Each of their last five away wins recorded in European Championship qualification matches have been with a clean sheet. It looks like a good trend to back.

Israel vs Poland Tips & Odds

Who will win – Israel vs Poland Predictions

On paper, this is a game which Poland is likely to win. Will they be at full strength? Will they be too bothered about this fixture? Israel have to throw the kitchen sink at this game, but still, they look as if they are going to come up short against. Poland to win.
