Germany Women v Sweden Women – Women’s Euro 2017, 17th July
This is going to be one of the main showdowns in the group stage of the Women’s Euro 2017 tournament. The Germans dumped Sweden out at the semi final stage four years ago and they beat them in the final of the Olympic Games last summer as well. Will the Swedes be able to gain a little bit of revenge over the German powerhouses? Germany are 8/13 to win, with the draw at 3/1 and Sweden are at 6/1.

Germany Women v Sweden Women Betting Tips
This should be one of the best games of the group stage. The Germans are tournament favourites and that is easy to see why after they have won each of the last six editions of the tournament. In the 2013 edition, they beat Sweden in the semi finals and they beat the Swedes again in the final of the 2016 Olympics. One of their nine previous Women’s Euro titles game against Sweden as well and they won a World Cup Final against the Scandinavians as well. So Sweden are probably sick of the sight of the Germans and this is the biggest rivalry in Women’s football. Overall in competitive games against Sweden, Germany have won all eleven of them, most recently with that 2-1 win over them in the final in Rio de Janeiro. Four years ago in the semi finals of the Euro’s Dzenifer Marozson netted for the Germans against Sweden and she was on the scoresheet again against them in the Olympic Final too.
She is a quality young player and is a 5/2 anytime goalscorer option; At the head of the market there is Anja Mittag at 13/10, who is another star attraction and as Germany didn’t concede in qualification Germany to win to nil at bet365 is a price of 6/5 which has a nice appeal. Sweden are one of the older squads in the tournament, but on the positive side of that, they have experience. But even with that, it is hard to see Sweden avoiding defeat in this one unless the Germans come in a little bit cold. The Swedes don’t have much in their history against Germany to suggest a win, but there is a price of 6/4 at bet365 on both teams to score to at least see the Swedes get a bit of pressure on the Germans in the match.
Who will win – Germany Women v Sweden Women Predictions
Germany to win: It would be great to see Sweden make a go of this, but Germany are just a class above everyone at the moment and they can be trusted to open the tournament with a win.
