Everton v Man City Betting Preview
It is European places which are up for grabs in this Premier League fixture, with Man City looking to secure a second place finish. Everton head into the weekend on the outskirts of the European places and need to pick up their form after some recent disappointments. The Toffees though remain strong at home in the league and they have some good recent history against City to bank on as well.

Everton v Man City Recommended Bet:
The Toffees are seven points adrift of fourth place in the league and need to raise their game if they have hopes of playing in Europe next season. They bombed badly at Goodison Park against Wigan in the quarter final of the FA Cup last time out, looking stunned by three quick goals from the Premier League strugglers. It wasn’t a good performance from the Toffees and David Moyes will again finish a season without any silverware for Everton. Can he rally his troops from that shell-shock FA Cup result to keep themselves in the race for Europe? Last season in the league match after losing in the FA Cup, they earned a 4-4 draw against Manchester United. With the Toffees generally such a strong side at home going forward, they have the tools necessary to produce a bounce back performance and get some confidence back for an important run into the end of the league season.
The Toffees have taken five wins from their last seven Premier League encounters against Manchester City, with City boss Roberto Mancini losing to David Moyes more than any other Premier League manager. The last seven for Everton against City reads W5 D1 L1, the draw coming at the Etihad earlier in the season when a goal from Marouane Fellaini secured a draw. Everton are good going forward and have scored at ar ate of 1.8 goals per game at Goodison this season. However, they have only managed one clean sheet at home this season and 22 of their 28 league games this season has seen both teams get on the scoresheet. So there will probably be goals from both sides in this one. 71% of Everton’s home games in the league this season have gone over 2.5 goals. There has been just two clean sheets in Everton’s last 28 Premier League matches. Not good, but they are full value for entertainment. Everton have managed just one win in their last four Premier League matches, so are in a bit of a slump, losing two of the last three.
Man City have won their last two league games in a row and have lost just one of their last nine in the top flight. They are well on track for a second place finish and just need to consolidate from here until the end fo the season. There has also been two clean sheets in a row for them in the league, and they have now taken six clean sheets from their last eight Premier League matches, which is pretty impressive. The goals haven’t been flowing as easily for them this season though, but Carlos Tevez has netted in each of his last four appearances for the Citizens. City have had a tough time against Everton in recent times, but their defence has been holding them up and they should be good for another point at least here. They look strong at the back and with Everton’s leaky defence, they should find openings.
There is the high probability of both teams getting on the scoresheet at Goodison though and the option is priced at 4/6 with online bookmaker Bet Victor.
