Denmark News and Form

Denmark are at W2 D3 in the group so far, which has been enough to see them hold second place. But the Swiss are right there behind them having played a game less than they have. So Denmark badly need the three points from this fixture to take that advantage away from the Swiss by opening up a four-point gap. The Danes are trailing group leaders Ireland by two points only in a highly competitive group. Christian Eriksen and Christain Gytkjaer are the joint-top scorers in the group with three each.

At home in the campaign, Denmark have played out a 1-1 draw with Ireland and then pummeled Georgia 5-1. Denmark had a five-match scoring streak snapped with a disappointing 0-0 draw out in Georgia in their most recent qualifier. Still, the Danes have scored at least three goals in three of their last five fixtures, which isn’t a bad return. Denmark are currently on an eleven match undefeated streak of form in all matches. They are unbeaten in five European Championship home qualifiers (W2 D3).

Denmark v Switzerland Head to Head

Switzerland and Denmark drew 3-3 in the first group meeting
Denmark are W1 D3 in the last four against Switzerland
Both teams have scored in the last three meetings
The last two meetings have gone over 2.5 goals

Switzerland News and Form

A win for Switzerland would move them one point above Denmark with a game in hand. That would be a fine position to be sitting in. They aren’t carrying a great deal of winning form at the moment though with a W1 D3 L1 record in their last five. Part of that was their games against Portugal and England in the Nations League Finals. The Swiss are W2 D2 in their four games in the Euro 2020 qualification group, averaging over two goals per game.

In their away games they have taken a win over Georgia and a draw in Ireland. Despite their big return of goals, Denis Zakaria is the only Swiss player to have scored more than one goal (2). Switzerland have posted a W4 D1 L1 record in their last six European Championship qualifiers away from home, three of those four wins coming with a clean sheet. They missed the boat at home against Denmark in their 3-3 draw, can they grab a valuable three points in Copenhagen.

Denmark v Switzerland Tips & Odds

Who will win – Denmark v Switzerland Predictions

It should be another tight battle. Switzerland have a little more attacking quality about them and may be able to go and cause an upset. There is so much at stake in this qualifier, it should be one of the highlights of Saturday. Away win.
