Chelsea v Hull Premier League, 22nd January 3.00pm
There is a horrible run of fixtures coming up for the relegation-threatened Hull, starting with this trip to Stamford Bridge. The Tigers gave themselves a lifeline last weekend when they posted a great 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the KCom, but now they have to face a top four side in each of their last next four league fixtures. Tough start for new boss Marco Silva. Chelsea responded to their defeat against Tottenham by blowing away Leicester 3-0 at the King Power last weekend and with or without Diego Costa, they will be expected to claim the maximum points in this one. Chelsea are 1/6 for the win, with the draw at 13/2 and Hull at 16/1.

Chelsea v Hull Betting Tips
The Blues will be a home banker for Sunday’s Premier League action. The Blues have had little effort getting back into the groove of things after suffering that loss against Spurs at the turn of the new year. They romped to a good 3-0 win at Leicester last weekend and they have home form going against Hull as well. The Blues have won their last three on the bounce at home against the Tigers and Chelsea have netted exactly two goals in each of those. A Chelsea 2-0 correct score at Coral (the exact result from the last two between these at the Bridge) is running at a tempting price of 11/2. Chelsea’s home form is up to par to say the least as they have won their last seven Premier League home games on the bounce and five of those seven have been with a clean sheet as well. Six of those seven have gone over the 2.5 goal line as well, so you would expect the Blues to be at a canter in this one.
If you want to back this one over 2.5 goals with Coral then that is a price of 8/15. 90% of Chelsea’s home games this season have gone over the goal line. The Blues are unbeaten in their nine Premier League meetings against Hull, winning seven of those and they have kept six clean sheets in those nine games against the Tigers too. Will Diego Costa be back or not? Who knows, but he has scored in all three of his previous Premier League games against the Tigers. He is a 4/9 anytime goalscorer option, while Eden Hazard and Pedro are both good value around the even money mark. Hazard has scored three and assisted another in his last four Premier League games against Hull. The Blues have returned at least three goals in three of their last four Premier League games now and overall on home soil this season have averaged 2.8 goals per game and they have conceded only the six home goals all term. It’s been powerful stuff to say the least.
Hull are stuck in the Premier League relegation zone and a draw could get them out if Palace lose. Hull ave themselves a boost under new manager Marco Silva last weekend with a home win over Bournemouth but their fixture list coming up is horrendous. Their next four league opponents are Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal. So a high pressure period for them here because they could find themselves in heaps of relegation trouble after this run of games. Hull have posted a W1 D1 L8 record out on the road this season in the Premier League and they are are currently on an eight match losing streak away from the KCom. They have scored just one goal in their last six away games as well. They only have six goals on the road this term in total. The Tigers have kept just one clean sheet this season in the Premier League, back in August against Swansea and their last league win over Chelsea came in the old second division, winning 3-0 at Boothferry Park in October 1988. Abel Hernandez enjoyed a brace against Bournemouth last weekend and he is a 4/1 anytime goalscorer option for the visitors.
Who will win – Chelsea v Hull Predictions
It is unlikely that Chelsea are going to be tripped up in their title challenge by the relegation-threatened Hull in this one. Chelsea are just rolling along comfortably and that defeat against Spurs has been quickly forgotten. They dealt with Leicester easily enough last week to suggest that they can brush aside the Tigers who are in horrible form away from home. A Chelsea 2-0 correct score has big appeal here.
