Brighton News and Form
It has been back to back home success for Brighton in which they have scored exactly three goals. The first was a 3-0 win over Tottenham and then last weekend it was a 3-2 win over Everton at the Amex. Brighton got lucky in that one with Everton’s Lucas Digne scoring a last-minute own goal to give the Seagulls the win. That is a three-match unbeaten streak of home form from Brighton though.
They are W2 D2 L1 at the Amex this season, so it has been a fairly decent return from them. Their burst of goals has seen them average 1.6 goals per home fixture this season. Still, less than half of the games played at the Amex this season have made it over 2.5 goals. The Seagulls have managed the one home clean sheet this season.
A trend worth mentioning is that Brighton have been level at half time in four of their five home games (W1). They have scored 62% of their home goals after the break, and have conceded 83% of home goals after the break as well. So watch the second half for live in-play betting action. Brighton have conceded at least two goals in each of their last two league fixtures.
Brighton vs Norwich Head to Head
The two traded home wins in the 2016/17 Championship season
Brighton have won one of the last five against Norwich (D2 L2)
Brogan won their last home against the Canaries 5-0
Both teams have scored in none of the last three league clashes
Norwich News and Form
The Canaries really are in some trouble. A 3-1 home loss against Manchester United on the weekend leaves them with only one point from their last five games. That point was from a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth recently, which is Norwich’s only clean sheet in the top flight this season. It’s hard to see where the wins are going to come from, however.
The Canaries have failed to score in three of their last five league outings, netting just the two goals in that sequence. It is their defence which is going to leave them in massive relegation trouble this season. They have the second-worst defensive record in the league, and they average 2.4 goals per game against them this season.
Away from home Norwich average exactly two goals per game against them. All four of their away losses this season have been by a margin of at least two goals. The road record of Norwich stands at D1 L4. Another trend with Norwich is them losing at halftime on their travels. That has happened in all but one of their away games this season. It’s been a pretty rough ride. 7 of their 10 away goals conceded have been in the first half-hour of games.
Brighton vs Norwich Tips & Odds
Who will win – Brighton vs Norwich Predictions
It has to be Brighton at this point to get three points. They have done it in their last two games against better teams than Norwich. The Canaries are floundering now and are showing no signs of tightening up at the back. Home win.
