Brighton v Coventry FA Cup, 17th February 3.00pm
The Seagulls may be sweating a bit on their Premier League survival, but they are scraping and battling their way through the FA Cup. The draw was pretty kind to them as well as they get a shot at home against one of the lower ranked sides left in the competition. League Two’s Coventry have put together a great run so far, can they take down the Seagulls on the south coast?

Brighton v Coventry FA Cup Betting Tips
Brighton battled out a point against Stoke on the weekend in the Premier League, being unable to hold on to a good lead at the Bet365 Stadium. Brighton actually played some good attacking stuff in that game. It’s back to home soil on the weekend as they try and take their FA Cup adventure a little further. The Seagulls are unbeaten this last four games now and in the FA Cup, they have seen off Crystal Palace and Championship side Middlesbrough a wall. The Seagulls have scored in each of their last four games played now but you generally don’t expect high-scoring affairs where they are involved and under 2.5 goals at Betfair is at 4/5 odds* (Betting Odds taken on February 11th, 2018 at 5:42 p.m.). At the Amex, Brighton are doing well with only the three losses there all season (W6 D6) and they have suffered only the one reverse there in their last six (against Chelsea in the Premier League). With three home wins in their last five, they are value to get through this and a Brighton 1-0 is the shortest-priced option in the Betfair correct score market at 9/2 odds* (Betting Odds taken on February 11th, 2018 at 5:42 p.m.).
The last time these two were paired up was in the 2011/12 Championship and they traded home wins on that occasion. They met back in the 2006 FA Cup though and Coventry took a 1-0 win away on the south coast in that fixture, leaving the Sky Blues 2-1 up with one draw from four previous FA Cup games against the Seagulls. Brighton have lost just one of their last eight home games against Coventry in all competitions, and that lone defeat was that 2006 FA Cup tie.
Coventry have had a solid season in League Two but their form has just stopped which has seen them fall outside of the play off spots. They have already had a taste of knocking out Premier League opposition in the FA Cup this season as they took down Stoke 2-1 at the Ricoh Arena. Coventry are W6 L3 in their last nine games in all competitions and for most of the season they have been rock solid at the back, however, they only have the one clean sheet in their last seven played now. They aren’t in great winning form on the road with just a W2 D1 L4 record in their last seven away from home. Their last two away wins have been by a 1-0 scoreline and those are the only two clean sheets that they have earned in their last eight road fixtures. If they were at home they would probably be considered a little more of a threat but their form isn’t quite there at the moment and both teams NOT to score is at 8/13 odds with Betfair* (Betting Odds taken on February 11th, 2018 at 5:42 p.m.).
Who will win – Brighton v Coventry FA Cup Predictions
Coventry may have enough about them to go and force a draw in this one and then that would make the tie difficult for Brighton back at the Ricoh. With the Seagulls struggling for goals, there is a decent chance that the Sky Blues can stick in there at the Amex.
