Brazil v Croatia International Friendly, 3rd June

The Brazilians get their World Cup warm-ups underway on the weekend as they play Croatia at Anfield. This should be a good test for both of them. Brazil remains one of the front runners to land the World Cup this summer, while Croatia, who are also heading to Russia can carry the label of being one of the strongest dark horses for the tournament.

Brazil v Croatia Odds*

Brazil 1/2, Draw 14/5, Croatia 13/2* (Betting Odds taken at 5:04 a.m. on May 28th, 2018)

Brazil v Croatia Betting Tips

Brazil are hoping that they can get Neymar some time on the pitch during their World Cup warm-ups. After his injury, he is back in training but has himself admitted that he is not 100% fit. So the more that Brazil can get out of their star man ahead of the World Cup, the better off the and they will be. Brazil have been carrying some fine form and just back in the March international break, they took a 3-0 win over World Cup hosts Russia, before taking a 1-0 victory over Germany. Brazil have a great squad at the moment, they look stronger than they were four years ago. They are going to take some stopping at the 2018 World Cup. With Neymar working his way back to full fitness, Manchester city’s Gabriel Jesus is going to be a good anytime goalscorer option at bet365 for this fixture. Brazil have won four of their last five games (D1) and they are exuding confidence in front of goal, having scored three goals exactly in three of those five fixtures. They should get a stern workout by Croatia and over 2.5 goals is at even money odds* (Betting Odds taken at 9:14 p.m. on May 28th, 2018) with bet365.

Croatia are a great World Cup 2018 dark horse and they will be hoping to overpower Argentina when they meet the South Americans in the group stage. So this would be a good primer for the Croatians ahead of that and Croatia are carrying a bit of form as well with just one defeat in their last six games (W3 D2). In their last international friendly back in March they took a 1-0 victory over Mexico and they are a side which can boast plenty of quality talent, especially in the midfield and attacking areas. They perhaps are not quite as strong at the back and are likely to concede against the Selecao. But it may be worth backing both teams to score at bet365 which is at 11/10 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 9:14 p.m. on May 28th, 2018) because after all it is a friendly and the Europeans do have their flashes of brilliance. This will be just the fourth game between Brazil and Croatia with the Europeans looking for their first win over the South Americans, as Brazil have won two of those three previous meetings, drawing the other one. The last time they met was at the 2014 World Cup, with Brazil taking a 3-1 victory.

Who will win – Brazil v Croatia Predictions

Anfield should get a treat here as Croatia look pretty strong and they will have to deal with Argentina in their World Cup group, so it will be interesting to see how they handle themselves against South American opposition in this one. They may push the Selecao hard but may ultimately slip to a one-goal defeat.
