Bournemouth News and Form
The Cherries had a strange season finishing 14th in the table last term. They were decent enough on home soil as expected, but were terrible on the road. That having been said, even their home form deserted them during the run-in. Bournemouth won just one of their last six home fixtures for the campaign.
Their overall record at the Vitality was W8 D5 L6 last term. They scored at an average of 1.6 goals per home fixture, picking up a clean sheet in a third of the games there. Five of their eight home successes were by a margin of at least two goals as well. They were only trailing at the halftime break in three home games.
The Cherries won their opening game of last season at home. That was a 2-0 success over Cardiff. Bournemouth had a good start to last season going W6 D2 L2 in their first ten games. It fell apart for them after that. They are pretty much as they were last term.
Bournemouth v Sheffield United Head to Head
This will be the first meeting since the 2012/13 League One season
The Blades are on an eight-match winning streak against the Cherries
Both teams have scored in three of the last seven meetings
The Cherries have failed to win any of their seven previous home games against the Blades
Sheffield United News and Form
The Blades took second place in the Championship last season, earning automatic promotion. It was a super campaign from them and they were such a tough side at Bramall Lane. Their record on their Championship travels was W11 D7 L5. It was a pretty solid effort from them, but it says nothing about how they will fare away from home in the Premier League.
The Blades went unbeaten in their final nine games out on the road last season. The Blades averaged 1.6 goals just about per away games. They managed to pick up a clean sheet in 39% of away fixtures. Of the five away defeats which they suffered, four of them were by one goal margins only.
They have grabbed some experience at the back in getting Phil Jagielka and have added Oli McBurnie up front from Swansea. Manager Chis Wilder could easily impress up in the top flight after bringing them all the way up from League One. They were last in the top flight back in the 2006/07 season.
