Bolton v Millwall Prediction & Betting Tips – 10th April 2018

Bolton v Millwall Championship, 10th April 7.45pm

Bolton are not out of the woods at all yet. They are two points clear of Barnsley who are third from bottom, but Bolton have played a game more. The Trotters are on a three-match losing streak as well at the moment and this is such a tough game for them. Millwall continues to rock along in tremendous form and are still hunting down a top six finish.

Bolton v Millwall Betting Odds*

Millwall 19/20, Draw 5/2, Bolton 14/5* (Betting Odds taken at 11:45 p.m. on April 8th, 2018)

Bolton News and Form

Bolton needs to get back to their positive home form and quickly. They have lost their last three league outings now and went down 1-0 against Birmingham in a huge relegation scrap in their last home game. Bolton have lost just two of their last nine home games so have been in decent nick on home soil. Their last four wins have all been by a 1-0 scoreline and how badly they need a repeat of that. However, in the Betfair correct score market, it is a Millwall 1-0 which is the shortest-priced option at 5/1 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 11:45 p.m. on April 8th, 2018). Bolton have returned just 22 goals in 20 home fixtures this season and they do have five clean sheets in their last eight home games which isn’t bad at all. It may serve to keep the score under 2.5 goals. A point out of this one for the struggling Trotters wouldn’t be a bad return at all. Bolton conceded at least one goal in 75% of their home matches and 72% of their league points this season have been earned at home.

Millwall News and Form

Millwall bagged a superb 2-0 home win over Bristol City on the weekend to keep one of their challengers for a play off spot down while boosting their own chances of getting into the top six. That was a significant win for them and it extended their unbeaten league form to fifteen now. They are unbeaten in seven away from The Den in the Championship and they have scored in each of their last eight road games. They are in some form at the moment and they have won six of their last seven away games, drawing their last road game which was at Ipswich. Millwall have scored exactly two goals in five of their last six league outings and Millwall to win to nil may appeal to some punters at a price of 2/1 odds with Betfair* (Betting Odds taken at 11:45 p.m. on April 8th, 2018). The Lions have four clean sheets in their last six league games. Currently home and away they have scored in each of their last twelve games and have netted at least two in each of their last three on the road. This would be another big three points if they could get them.

Bolton v Millwall Head to Head

There was a 1-1 draw between them when they met at the Den earlier this season. That leaves Bolton with still a good head to head record going over the Lions. Bolton are unbeaten in their last eight games against Millwall in all competitions (W4 D4). They have won their last three in a row on home soil against them, each of those by a two-goal margin as well. Both teams have scored in just one of the last five meetings.

Who will win – Bolton v Millwall Predictions

Millwall are just going so strongly at the moment and they can go and get a good three points for themselves. This will probably be a tight scrap though because the Trotters haven’t been that bad at home recently. Look for the Lions to edge it by a one goal margin.
