Austria v Brazil Betting Tips
Austria are in some cracking form at the moment having won their last seven games on the bounce. This run of success started with a 3-2 win over Serbia in the World Cup qualifiers. Ultimately Austria fell short in trying to reach the 2018 World Cup, but since then in international friendly matches they have beaten Uruguay and Russia and last weekend they took a 2-1 win over Germany. So they may have some appeal to make a game of this as they face up against Brazil on Sunday. Because Austria are carrying some form it may be worth a flutter on both teams to score with bet365 at 4/5 odds* (Betting Odds taken at 5:06 a.m. on June 6th, 2018) and there will be some equal appeal in the game going over 2.5 goals. Austria could make a real goal of this as they have conceded just one goal in their last four games.
The last time that Brazil and Austria met was in a 2014 international friendly which the Selecao won 2-1. There was a third game between the two nations and it made it three wins from three for Brazil. Their first two meetings were both World Cup fixtures which were in 1958 and 1978 which Brazil won with a clean sheet in each.
Brazil handled themselves well against Croatia on the weekend as they faced up against what was a tricky opponent (and a physical one). They should get another decent test here and it was notable that in their win over Croatia, Neymar on his return from injury, hit the back of the net. As they are working Neymar back to full fitness and match sharpness after his injury he may get some time in this one and if he does he will naturally be a big focus of any time goalscorer bets. In the bet365 correct score market for the fixture, a Brazil 2-1 option is at 7/1 odds. Brazil are unbeaten in their last nine games having won six of those and during the sequence, they have collected seven clean sheets.
Who will win – Austria v Brazil Predictions
Austria should be a tricky opponent for Brazil as the Austrians don’t have to worry about things like injuries ahead of the World Cup. So it may be worth backing them to get on the scoresheet and you imagine the longer the game goes on the more Brazil would just ease off in what is their last game before Russia 2018, therefore consider the draw.
