Read our expert review of Betway and the assessment of Betway in all key aspects of online bookmakers
that are essential for a modern, professional and sound online football betting bookmaker.
That includes betting markets offered, odds, their website, in-play (live) betting opportunities, quality of
customer service and promotions.
This is one of the more recent online betting operators to have launched as service, having been running since 2006. They have probably been spotted through sports sponsorship in darts and football in particular and they were built on the platform of sports fans delivering what sports fans want from a betting site. There is a very good sportsbook with a lot of market options in there and they run a pretty good website which will have a lot of appeal to a lot of punters. They are a private company and also specialise in Bingo and Casino.
Betway Review & Ratings
It is to the sportsbook then and a look at the Betway odds. We actually found that the odds at Betway are not going to blow you away. There’s nothing wrong with them, but when looking at their prices compared to other operators, they are just about average so with that in mind you aren’t going to be losing out on any value really. They are solid enough to hold their own ground. Some markets though are running at slightly higher margins than others and we found tennis and ice hockey to be some of the higher ones. The football margins weren’t too bad though. You just won't see them too often undercutting any of their competitors and giving away too much in their odds.

You land at Betway and you will find a lot of markets in their sportsbook and we mean a lot. They cover a lot of sports very well on everything from the big football, tennis and golf markets through to the big North American sports brackets, down to field hockey, sports and beach volleyball. There is a good variety of sports in there and they go outside of sports as well with things like specials and politics. So all in all there is a strong sportsbook there and they are all backed up by a very good stats service as well which is easy to get to. Stats links are on market selections.
We found a lot of market depth on a given sport, looking at a pre-match WTA Tennis match we found a lot of pre-match depth although you have to go and click on the game to see just how many other markets there are. An indicator of how many markets there are available for a given match would be a nice addition. You can filter between in-play, bets that are coming up and the pre-match sportsbook options easily enough. It’s all very solid and user friendly.

The website looks good and it is a familiar format that punters will have seen elsewhere probably. The sportsbook menu isn’t the greatest, most flexible and easily navigable one that we have come across before but fortunately that is saved by the bookmaker offering a lot of the staples that people will be looking for, right on the home page. That offers quick and easy access to most of the sportsbook fortunately and there is good quick betting practices to be issued from there. So that’s good and you easily switch between the regular sportsbook and in-play betting.
There a good features on there like the horse finder which helps you find a runner to back, and they run a loyalty program as well where you can earn points towards earning benefits from them. The different tiers rewards different benefits. There is live streaming available for everyone though on the site which is a big bonus because they offer a lot of sports from top European football through to basketball. There is live racing available as well and a great statistics section.

In-Play Betting at Betway
The link to the in-play betting at Betway is right at the top of the website so you can get there quickly or just find a game on the main screen to click straight through. The in-play service may feel a little bit on the basic side of things for some because you basically just get the odds thrown at you without any big graphical presentation of how the game is going or anything. The market coverage through in-play betting is actually pretty solid and customers should be happy enough with what is in there. A big feature of their live betting is that they offer the cash out feature on there as well.

Betway Free Bets & Promotions
Betway are not great exponents of promotional value across their site, it is not often that you really find much going on there. There are regular promotions like Best Odds guaranteed on the horses and you will find acca insurance on the US markets. When a major tournament comes around you will probably find them rollout out a free bet special though. But that’s about it with them. It’s not extensive. There is a £30 free bet bonus on offer when you open an account with them. They will match the value of your initial deposit with them up to a maximum of a £30 free bet bonus.

Summary of the Betway Ratings Review
Overall not a bad performer really. The odds are not mindblowing but they are solid to put them kind of in the middle of the pack, which is a decent return. There are good features which prop up the site like cash out and live streaming and the sportsbook is pretty extensive after all. We found them pretty average across the board though on most things so that makes them decent, but clearly not the best that we can recommend.
OVERALL SCORE: 40
