Port Vale v Gillingham English LeagueTwo
October 16, 2010 - Kick off 15.00 GMT
It‘s something of a surprise to see Port Vale available at such eye-catching odds when you consider that they have had a strong season to date. Micky Adams‘ team sit top of the league and they have won seven of their eleven matches so far this season. It was seven from nine before recent trips to Oxford and Hereford which have seen the Valiants stutter a little, although they will enjoy being back in front of their own supporters who have witnessed four straight wins.
Conversely, Gillingham are not a team to be trusted on the road and the Kent side were recently involved in a goalfest at Accrington Stanley which saw the home team run out 7-4 winners. Andy Hessenthaler has a job to tighten the defence after that result and the Richards combination in attack for Vale (Marc and Justin) should ensure that they go home pointless once again.
