Brighton & Hove Albion v Oldham Athletic English Championship
September 25, 2010 - Kick off 15.00 GMT
We stay in League One for our final pick and it‘s the high-flying Seagulls that merit a bet after a marvellous start to the season which has propelled Gus Poyet‘s team into the automatic promotion places. The Uruguayan has really turned things round at the Withdean after a relegation-threatened campaign last year and they were comfortable 2-0 winners at Plymouth on Tuesday night to make it three wins and one draw from their past four league matches. Striker Ashley Barnes is improving with every game and should be more than a match for Oldham.
The Latics did beat Bournemouth on Saturday, although they were fortunate not to be more than 1-0 down before late goals landed them all three points. Paul Dickov will be pleased by the spirit shown by his new team, although this is a young side who have conceded seven goals in their three away matches to date. The latest of these was a 5-2 tonking at the hands of Peterborough and it‘s hard to see the defence proving tight enough to keep out their south coast opponents.
Best odds for the Brighton win is 1.87 with Boylesports.
