Manchester United v Liverpool English Premier League
September 19, 2010 - Kick off 13.30 GMT
There‘s no reason why Manchester United shouldn‘t beat Liverpool on Sunday. Forget the fact that the Red Devils were unable to beat Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday, especially as Sir Alex Ferguson made ten changes to the team that were cruising against Everton last weekend before somehow drawing 3-3. Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney are set to be the only players retained for this north-west clash between two teams who hate each other.
However, the simple fact is that United have won this fixture on five of the past six occasions and they will face a Liverpool team who lost their opening away match 3-0 at Manchester City and were lucky to come away from Birmingham with a draw. Fernando Torres doesn‘t seem to be functioning very well as a lone forward and Roy Hodgson looks likely to play another defensive formation that will see Lucas Leiva and Christian Poulsen protect the defence.
Best odds for the Manchester United win is 1.75 with Interwetten.
