Chesterfield v Cheltenham Town English League Two
September 18, 2010 - Kick off 15.00 GMT
Maybe this will be the season that the Spireites finally get themselves promoted from League Two after a few near misses in recent seasons. It seems that their form at Saltergate is consistently strong, which is why we have to include them as a pick to beat Cheltenham Town on Saturday, with John Sheridan‘s side just needing to get their act together away from home. It‘s been three straight home wins for the Derbyshire side, who have the evergreen Jack Lester still scoring goals, while Craig Davies could prove to be a decent signing.
Cheltenham have also enjoyed three straight wins at home to start their season on a high note, although they have managed to take just one point from three away matches and that‘s why they should be opposed in this game. Town were involved in that crazy 6-4 defeat by Rotherham and losing 3-1 at Barnet a fortnight ago does not inspire confidence in the visitors‘ defence. Once the home side get their noses in front, they should stay ahead.
Best odds for the Chesterfield win is 1.83 with Betfred.
