Bet Summary
Chesterfield v Shrewsbury
January 2, 2010
League Two
Betting Preview:
Chesterfield have been outstanding at Saltergate this season and if their away form was anything approaching half-decent, then John Sheridan's team would be in the automatic promotion places. Sadly, the Spireites have managed just two wins on their travels this term which is in stark contrast to the nine victories they have posted in front of their own supporters. The latest of these was a 1-0 win over Cheltenham on 12th December, with Jack Lester scoring his ninth goal of the season. The striker then missed a penalty at Lincoln on Boxing Day and will be fired up to make amends in this match.

Shrewsbury have a decent chance of finishing in the play-off positions again this season, although Paul Simpson's team are not as strong as last season due to the loss of Grant Holt and Ben Davies. Although the Shrews won 3-1 at Bradford on Monday, the away match before this saw them lose 4-0 at Rochdale and they could struggle to come away from their south coast trip with anything. Best odds for the Chesterfield win is 2.00 at Sky Bet.
