Chesterfield have won more games than any other team in League Two this season, so there‘s every reason to back them against lowly Cheltenham. John Sheridan was harshly sacked by Oldham, but he‘s steering the Spireites towards the top of a competitive division and it‘s their form at Saltergate which is doing them proud. Crewe‘s victory at this ground a fortnight ago was the only defeat that the Derbyshire team have endured at home, with Jack Lester and Drew Talbot looking to get back among the goals.
Cheltenham sit just five points off the relegation zone and it‘s hard to see them getting anything from this game. Chris Sutton‘s team have lost three of their last four away matches, while they twice relinquished the lead against Northampton last Saturday. Striker Barry Hayles is dangerous at this level, but we are talking about a Town defence who have conceded 36 goals in 20 matches this term, with their two away wins coming much earlier in the season. Best odds for the Chesterfield win is 1.72 at Coral.
