It was a slow start to the season for Dave Penney‘s team, although they finally appear to be getting their act together under the new manager. The Latics‘ 2-1 win over MK Dons on Tuesday was their third on the bounce and they shouldn‘t have too many problems despatching a Yeovil team without a win on their travels. Striker Pawel Abbott has started getting on the scoresheet more regularly and Keigan Parker is getting his career back on track after losing his first-team place at Blackpool.
The visitors are likely to be in a relegation battle this season and they might struggle to live with their opponents at Boundary Park. They did well to secure a goalless draw at Millwall on Tuesday and will look to keep things tight once again, although whether they will keep Oldham at bay for a full ninety minutes is another matter. Defender Craig Alcock is likely to be missing through injury and it could be a long journey home for Yeovil. Best odds for the Oldham win are 1.85 at bwin.
