Manchester United vs Manchester City September 20, 2009
It's second versus third at Old Trafford on Sunday and there's likely to be no quarter given in this Manchester derby. City arrive off the back of a 4-2 win over Arsenal last weekend, although injury is set to deprive Carlos Tevez of a return to his former club. In addition, Emmanuel Adebayor's likely suspension will mean that Mark Hughes will be without over £50 million of striking talent, while Robinho's stress fracture to his ankle deprives the manager of yet another attacking weapon.
Manchester United will have no such problems, with Sir Alex Ferguson able to call on Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen. It's the former who‘s in red-hot form for the champions at the moment and his team will carry plenty of momentum into this match after an excellent 3-1 win at Tottenham and a slender 1-0 victory at Besiktas. While Rio Ferdinand faces a race against time to be fit, the Red Devils are starting to click into gear and look likely to remain top dogs in Manchester for some time yet.
Best odds for the Man United win are 1.66 at Bet365.
