Bristol City failed to find a breakthrough during Tuesday‘s goalless draw at Swansea, although that was partly because in-form striker Nicky Maynard was missing from the team. He is likely to recover from a virus and take his place as the home side look to continue their 100% record at Ashton Gate. They have so far beaten Crystal Palace, QPR and Middlesbrough in front of their own fans and should really have more points on the board after being 2-0 up at Preston on the opening day of the season before drawing 2-2.
Scunthorpe will arrive with plenty of confidence, having won 4-0 at Crystal Palace last Saturday and following it up with a 3-1 win against Preston on Tuesday. However, the Iron have taken a couple of poundings on the road this term and there‘s little doubt that their defence will leak plenty of goals, despite having the excellent Joe Murphy between the sticks. 4-0 defeats at Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday could be followed by a similar scoreline in the West Country on Saturday.
