Read our expert review of 888Sport and the assessment of 888Sport in all key aspects of online bookmakers
that are essential for a modern, professional and sound online football betting bookmaker.
That includes betting markets offered, odds, their website, in-play (live) betting opportunities, quality of
customer service and promotions.
The bookmaker has been around for a while now and they are part of the bigg 888.com family. So there is a lot of operation power behind them and they carry a strong branding presence through their sponsor across sport. They perhaps don’t quite carry the same presence as other established bookmakers in terms of grabbing attention, but they are a very solid operator which warrants some investigation.
888Sport Review & Ratings
Right off the bat we noticed that 888Sport run low betting margins which is a big plus for the customer. Football alone runs at under 4% so that adds tremendous value for the punter when you are looking at 888Sport odds. OVerall across the sportsbook we found them to be pretty strong for value and they are comparable to most of the other bookmakers in the industry. So they offer decent value there although it is rare that you will see them firing off industry best odds.

While their sports betting odds really are nothing that spectacular, their sportsbook offering is fantastic in terms of variety. It is packed chock-a-block with a tremendous amount of market options and markets pulled in from right across the globe. They run a lot of market depth in individual events and if you combine that with their low margins then you have a pretty solid sportsbook in place to use. You get tremendous coverage on the big sports like football and rugby and there are so many niche markets floating around, you aren't going to be short of a punt or two.
Unfortunately we found the sportsbook a little difficult to get around simply because of the design of the website which doesn’t offer quick viewing at all. There are big chunk-blocks for a given event on the home page so you don’t get many quick markets up there. That forces you to go through the sportsbook menu which could be a hassle. It looks as if they have tried to go with a modern design, but from functionality, it isn’t the best site out there.

The website loads quickly, but some recent design changes may leave punters wanting a little more from it. Basically the home page consists of boxes containing a match in any given sport. This takes up a tremendous amount of space on the homepage, whereas at other bookmakers you will simply see a listing of a bunch of sports so you can quickly click through. There’s just so much wasted space here that 888Sport are missing at risk in being able to push more markets to their user who just land on the home page. We felt that this was a bit of a design oversight.
It is quick and easy to get around to the other section like live betting but if you wanted to go and just look at football in the sportsbook, we found it a little on the slow side to load. The organisation when you are looking at an individual sport is much better than what you get on the homepage, so it’s one of those things that you would have to be a little patient with. On a plus side, because there is a lot of white space on the site, it is actually very legible and easy to read markets, which is nice. There aren’t a great deal of features around but there is a VIP club.

In-Play Betting at 888Sport
You do get in play betting at 888Sport however, again we would point a little finger at the design because it doesn't really have that dynamic feel about it. You may even forget you are looking at live betting because it just lacks a little something compared to other sites. But there is a decent amount of live markets on there though, so you have plenty of options there and we even saw some live betting on an E-Sports event as well. There are a lot of matches covered from multiple sports on the 888Sport in-play betting and for a given event there appeared to be a lot of coverage as well, with around 40+ markets 0n a tennis match for example.

888Sport Customer Service
We did find the links to get to the help section a little hard to find. They are right at the bottom of the website, but we couldn't find another quick link to get there. So once you are at the helpo seito there is a pretty good base of questions to search through so that you can find answers. Inside of their Online Help feature the are plenty of tabs to be able to contact them. They offer a toll free telephone support service from 9 am through to 10pm GMT and you can submit an email directly from the website. Overall, it’s good, it was just tricky to find in the first place.

888Sport Free Bets & Promotions
888Sport really don’t run with a lot of promotions on their website, but then you can balance that out with their low sports betting margins and not mind so much. Really the mainstay of their promotions is a weekly betting competitions where you earn points from your wagering on accumulators and the higher up the leaderboard you finish the more chance you have a claiming some free bets from the tournament. The top player each week will earn £888 worth of free bets. There Is a welcome bonus in place at 888Sport and they give you £30 pounds in a "Bet 10 Get 30 Welcome Offer".

Summary of the 888Sport Ratings Review
Well 888Sport seem to be sitting in the middle of the pack with things. There are good points and not so good points about them, like the overall design of the main screen which isn’t the greatest. But there is a lot of sports coverage in the sportsbook and they run at low margins, so is that more important to you than how the site looks? Perhaps. Overall, we found 888Sport to be pretty average without really delivering out anything special.
OVERALL SCORE: 39
